Arsenal took Blackpool apart last Saturday at the Emirates Stadium but they face a real test of their title credentials at Ewood Park this weekend. The Seasiders were ruthlessly dismantled at times but Arsene Wenger’s team will find that Blackburn are a far more organised team on their own patch. Sam Allardyce has built a strong efficient side that possesses a strong record at home, so the Gunners are going to have to show they can compete physically if they are going to get anything from their trip.

Alan Hansen’s Premier League Preview: Tottenham v Wigan

Harry Redknapp’s team finally qualified for the group stages of the Champions League on Wednesday with a thumping 4-0 win over Young Boys. The season has started very brightly for Tottenham and it looks set to improve as next up at White Hart Lane is a Wigan side rooted at the bottom of the Premier League. The Latics won’t relish this trip to North London, they’ve conceded 10 goals already this season and suffered a 9-1 thrashing last time they made the trip. The North Londoners may not score nine this time but in terms of Premier 10 ‘home bankers’ I find it hard to back against anything other than a convincing home win for Spurs.

Blackpool’s fairytale story continued on the opening day of the 2010/11 campaign with an emphatic 4-0 win at the DW Stadium. In all honesty Ian Holloway’s team should have won by even more as they created chance after chance. However, next up is a real test of their Premier League credentials with a trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal.

Tottenham endured a miserable performance over in Berne in midweek which was in complete contrast to their opening day display against Manchester City which they really should have won. Next up they face a Stoke team smarting from their defeat at Wolves which will put Harry Redknapp’s team under severe pressure ahead of their all-important 2nd leg against Young Boys.
