Cascarino’s Premier League Preview: Burnley v Stoke

Tony Cascarino, 9th March 2010

I’m afraid this could be the last throw of the dice for Burnley when they take on Stoke at Turf Moor. Ok, there may be little difference in terms of points between the clubs at the bottom of the table but unlike their fellow relegation candidates, the Clarets are not showing any signs that they can go on a run of form picking up points towards survival.

Cascarino’s Premier League Preview: Portsmouth v Birmingham

Tony Cascarino, 9th March 2010

Despite Portsmouth beating Birmingham in the FA Cup last weekend, this league encounter is no foregone conclusion. The 2-0 Pompey cup win was far from one-sided and it would have been very interesting to see what would have happened if Liam Ridgewell’s ‘goal’ had been allowed to stand as it should have. The Gunners captain has been superb this season and has got his team out of jail of numerous occasions. Chelsea’s Didier Drogba and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney have received plenty of plaudits for pushing their respective teams on this season but Fabregas has been just as or even more important for Arsene Wenger’s team.
