Arsenal Star Claims Giovani Dos Santos Will Use Tottenham as a Stepping Stone. Fair Comment or Ignorant Nonsense?

Giovani Dos Santos: Too Good for Spurs as Vela Claims?Mexican starlet Giovani Dos Santos signed for Tottenham last week in a major coup for the North London giants ahead of the likes of Chelsea and Man City. The 19-year-old has been tipped for great things since breaking into the Barcelona first team but was deemed surplus to requirement at the Camp Nou this summer and is subsequently is on his way to White Hart Lane.

Juande Ramos expressed his delight at the signing, he had this to say on Dos Santos, “He has plenty to look forward to and for us he is a brilliant signing as he has great qualities and he can adapt to play in many positions. His youth gives us the possibilities to see all his potential materialise into making him an excellent footballer.”

However, despite the joy in the blue and white side of North London, Arsenal’s own Mexican starlet Carlos Vela has been quoted as saying this, “I hope things go well for him at Tottenham, that he gets the minutes he wasn’t given at Barcelona and that he shows what he can do. He is a very good player and let’s hope he can then move on to a better team“. Vela’s comments will not go down well with the majority of Spurs fans who’ll surely feel his comments are a slight on the size of their club and their ability to hold onto their best players. How a player like Vela that has yet to play in England can comment on Spurs size is questionable but certain to reignite old rivalries none the less.

Premier 10So do you feel Carlos Vela’s comments are a fair opinion on the likelihood of Dos Santos improving his game then leaving to join a bigger club or do you feel they are merely disrespectful comments aimed at stoking up North London rivalry? Let’s hear your views.

  1. Gunnersaurus Says:

Of course he is…why would you leave Barca to join lowly Spurs…it’s like going from Arsenal to Leyton Orient! Like Berbatov, Sol, Carrick etc your best players leave as soon as they get a chance! Always in our shadow

  2. Young Guns Go For It Says:

Yep you know it, super Carlos Vela is right, the whole world knows Spurs are just a stepping stone if you want to play in the big games! Perhaps if he does well we will do a Sol and nick him lol lol !

  3. yid Says:

Carlos Vela fcuk off back to the scum and concentrate on playing in the reserves or being shipped out on loan (again)

Gio will at least get a chance to play 1st team football here

  4. Jack Says:

Just accept it Yids you are a small club with alot of cash trying to compete with the big boys and you can’t!

  5. Shannon Says:

If Man U can’t hold on to Ronaldo, no club can hold on to any player

  6. Rudi Says:

and like all the other dinosaurs…Your time is almost up : )

  7. BOF Says:

Well I guess you have to respect the opinion of such an established Premier League star as Ar5ena1’s Carlos Vela.

  8. yid Says:

u gooners shud get a grip, under ramos we are full of potential and already trophy winners.

If you listen to Gio he choose to go to us because of Ramos and turned down others to come here.

you can crow all you like but you are in decline when did you last manage to win a trophy,

  9. Adamski Says:

Of course, Vela is playing for a team that wins the league, all the cups and Champions league every year? this guy is a t0553r.

  10. James Says:

Seriously… the guys’s a nobody who’s never played in England. He might turn into somebody someday, but not yet. Until then, he should keep his mouth shut.

As for Spurs and Arsenal, Spurs are a big club just as Arsenal are. Success in terms of trophies is a wonderful thing, but it doesn’t change who is or isn’t a big club. Are Arsenal no longer a big club for not winning anything for 3 years?

I guess that means Arsenal was a stepping stone for Henry, Flamini, Hleb, Anelka…?

  11. Jack Says:

He is a better player than Dos Santos and if a young Mexican kid knows your status as also rans then how comes you lot don’t?

  12. Mark Says:

I forgot that Arsenal have had glorious seasons recently! How about you guys shut up and worry about finishing forth again next year. Talking about stepping stones Flamini, Hleb, Henry, Viera, A Cole all went (or going) on to BIGGER clubs from the scum. Clubs that can still win trophies!!

  13. stop right there Says:

this coming from a bloke on loan? And I haer a rumour that Ar5ena1 actuall wanted to buy David Villa but got Carlos Vela by mistake…priceless

  14. dave Says:

For all of you goners mouthing off let me ask you this, WHAT DID YOU WIN THIS SEASON?

  15. typical gooner Says:

haha just another know it all gooner punk kid hes already a w@nker wengers influence working overtime haha Im sure he remembers the gooners boring everyone to death for most of their history oh what a club. oh yeah when was the last time woolwich won a trophy?

  16. BradSpurs Says:

It’s up to Spurs to be successfull enough for him not to want to go elsewhere. Ronaldo’s current situation shows how difficult that may be.

PS. to all you arrogant smug ignorant arsenal fans, see, it’s not that difficult to leave a sensible comment.

  17. Mark Says:

I could have sworn i was at the Emirates…. it’s gone silent

  18. Sean Says:

    Well…yeah…like Henry, Viera, Hleb!
fact is, at this precise moment, Berbatov, to take one example, obviously feels that he can’t fulfill his Champs League ambitions at Spurs (or maybe not). And, obviosly, Barcelona are a bigger club than Spurs…and Arsenal…and Chelsea…and…blah, blah, blah.
So, it may well be, that after 3 or 4 years he moves on.
But anyone with any conception of the English, british, European and World scene is fully aware of the fact that in terms of turnover, fan-base, etc, Spurs are one of the bigger clubs in Europe and the World, and in terms of trophies one of the biggest in Ebgland.
Only very stupid people count trophies, deduce more in favour of one (or more recently in favour of one) and label their rivals ’small’.
In historical terms Spurs ARE one of the Big Five - despite the fact that the media, driven by the Champs League profit fever have reduced this to a Big Four. Most serious football supporters know that with these local rivalries it swings in roundabouts: somnetimes Liverpool are dominant, sometimes (albeit less ofter) Everton are; sometimes ManUre are dominant, sometimes (albeit less ofter) Man Citeh are: only a complete imbecile would label Glasgow rangers a Small Club just ‘cos arch-rivals Glasgow Celtic have one more trophies in recent years, and dominated the League (in terms of championships one) for the last three.
in terms of playing finance and playing staff Spurs are recognized by most serious observers of the game as being on the up; in terms of manangers Arsene Wenger is, of course, recognized as being top-notch (as a Spurs fan I’m not going to be so stupid as to argue with that). But is it widely recognized that Juanda Ramos is coming into his own as a coach - and his recent record in European competitons speaks for itself. This is a petty-minded and ill-informed comment from a player who has yet to prove himself…and what is he saying anyway: he will stay with Arsenal for the rest of his career (if they want him) even if he proves to be a footballing genius and Real Madrid want him? Or, if he tyrns out to be a footballing genius and Aersenal go down the pan he will still stick with them…even if they do a Leeds? Or, perhaps, if he is mediocre he expects Arsenal to keep him even if they are challenging for Champs League and he is just a burden? Or maybe, just maybe, if he is a flop AND Arsenal go down the pan it will be a match made in heaven.
As for Gunnersaurus’s coments above = child!

  19. Rudi Says:

erm jack…look at your ‘big’ (code for heavily in debt) club’s financial statement. Your size is on borrowed time.Does Leeds United mean anything to you? I hope it doesn’t happen, because I look forward to the next opportunity we have to squash the scum. It makes me laugh that you guys love to attack us so vehemently (aggressively for all you scum that don’t do the whole word thing)about the size of our club and the potential of our team. Don’t be afraid of us. I know the shame and pain of your horrific defeat to a ’small’ club comprising of largely English players must be hard to swallow. Bewildering even, like Bendtner in ‘that game’. Why did he leave Barca? The same reason Ramos, modric and Bostock joined. Time will tell my frightened Scum friends, time will tell

  20. GoonerGooders Says:

Ok in all seriousness of course the kid will leave you after a couple of years once he realises that the promises made to him about your intentions will never be realised. You aren’t going to get in top 4 for at least 5 years at best so of course if he does well then the big boys will come for him and he will go…vicious circle for smaller clubs like you, Villa (Barry situation), Everton etc

  21. angersjay Says:

    fair comment

  22. gunner james Says:

So The Arsenal are in decline and the yids are full of potential and on the way up, when have we heard this before.

Vela is right, as soon as Dos Santos reaches the required level he’ll be off to a bigger club. Spurs always sell their best players at the height of their abilities cause they’re small time, deal with it.

  23. gooners n01 Says:

when did you last win the league?
what 61 never again dont make me laugh.
your a team who trys to break the top 4 and never can,we are a team who looks to win the league.
    say’s it all really.
your just a small club trying to be big.
henry used arsenal as a steping stone?
how did you work that out you dumb c***

  24. tomyid Says:

lol everyone laugh at this gooner hes only a boy has his voice even broken.

  25. gooners n01 Says:

71 never again,71 never again ha ha

  26. gooners n01 Says:

    can you smell lasagne???

  27. Ash Says:

Vela only went out on loan because he couldnt get a work permit, but now hes plays for his country and gets the number 9 jersey, in spai he is regarded as one of teh brightest prospects in world football who Real Madrid have tried to steal from us twice. Lets be honest Tottenahm are not a great side anymore, your on the same level as Newcastle and West Ham, not bad but far from great, Vela was just being honest, and funny how Eto has said teh same thing today about how your a mid table team, just look for yourselves, is he not good enough to talk about you either?

    http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_3672376,00.html

That must hurt you Spuds, real deep.Lol

  28. goonersarescum Says:

Arsenal have always been in Tottenham’s shadow. They have always tried to keep up and emulate Spurs, as Spurs always set the standard for them to follow. First double, first european trophy, first to win back to back fa cups, first to win 2 european trophies, first to win 2 back to back FA cups etc… Still won more euro trophies than them and we have always done it playing good football. They even had to copy us with that too. Anyway a nothing subject, cant really comment before he has even played for us. Although I think Gooners need to learn some football history before calling Spurs a small club.

  29. gooners n01 Says:

    how’s that song go?

    we won the league
    at shyte hart lane
    we won the league
    at shyte hart lane
we won the league at the s*** hole
we won the league at shyte hart lane
71 never again 71 never again.

  30. gooners n01 Says:

    9 years
    it only took 9 yrs
it only took 9 years ha ha carling cup
spurs are the best team in the world ha ha ha ha ha ha

  31. gooners n02 Says:

said it all gone quite at the lane
said its all gone quite at the lane
said its all gone quite all gone all gone quite at the lane.

  32. THFC Says:

Wonder does this gooner boy know that Arsenal use to bore teams to sleep for about nine decades of their “illustrious” history. Scum and chelscum are part of “SKY 4″ which has only been around ten years or so, yous keep telling yourself your clubs from a “footballing” tradition but everyone knows its not boring boring arsenal lol

  33. yid1 Says:

huu sed it gne quiet at the lane yu wernt speakin wen we thrashd ur team n fans on and of the pitch in the semis ahahaah :p n speakin about players ive never heard of dis vela n i believe bale, woodgate, modric etc have all turned the scum down =D COYS

  34. Chris Says:

    Quite at the lane?

Its not so bad that you’re illiterate, many gooners are.

But on top of that you clearly have a massively short term memory or dyslexia since you used the wrong word 4 times.

You sir, have the subtle touch of a rapist.

  35. gooners n01 Says:

we have always been in your shadow ha ha
    get you thophie’s out,you mug
the reason us goon’s have to put you in your place because you spuds are like old women, always trying to say we are going down as a club?
yet again how do you work that out?
we have a new stadium that make’s your’s look even worse than what it already was.
we are still in the champions league,we have just beaten manchester united to the signing of welsh wonderkid aron ramsey,if we was so down and out how come’s he choose us over them?
and who else was in for dos santos in any of the clubs around europe, arsenal em no,mancherster united erm no,liverpool erm no,chelski erm no,inter milian erm no,ac milian erm no and the list goes on and on.
and if he was so good, how come’s barca are offloading him?

  36. Mark Says:

Vela’s a knob, why would Dos Santos want to move on when we take 4th place off the Goons next season, if anyone moves on it’ll probably Vulva.

  37. Fletch Says:

Looks like a no mark Gooner is trying to make a name for himself with the Goon fans to me.

Still he’s been more vocal this year than any fans at a Goon home game

  38. THFC Says:

boring boring arsenal anyone?? oh what a club bored the rest of the league and world to death for 90 odd years with some of the ugliest football mankind has ever known this boy vela nees a history lesson haha

  39. Fletch Says:

Can you smell Lasagne?? Oh, how original. That lasagne meant that you could carry on affording the loans on the Emirate - in fact, it was more successful that the Goons have been for the past 3 years

Can you smell lasagne? Can you smell Wengers kiddy juice more like

  40. La Sagna Says:

Can u hear the tottenham sing? I cant hear a ******* thing

Yes Rudi, we’re terrified of Sp*rs. FOREVER IN OUR SHADOW

  41. yid1 Says:

GOONERS NO1 loool jkaaa you finkk you can take on the mighty spurs dont make meee lafff all i c is you by ureself whereas as we spurs fans are a a massive family who will stick 2 gether which is more than i can say 4 you prikz
    YID ARMY!!!!

  42. Fletch Says:

    yid1

I’m Spurs through and through mate but stop making yourself and us look like complete tw*ts

  43. ManUworld Says:

71 71 learn your history it was 61. If you are going to write something at least get it right ! n0b.

Anyway its good for Spurs to be pushing to get CL football, why not and they are going the right way. A lot of young talent will go to Spurs as they will get regular football and not sit on the bench all season and want to leave once they get the chance as the wages are crap. eg Flamini and Hleb.

Anyway Arsenal go on about playing in the CL each year but have never won it. Made one final in 15 years and lost, now thats CRAP ! What’s the point in playing in a competition if you don’t stand a chance of winning it ! Give someone else a go.

Arsenal’s European record is very Poor. Correct me if i’m wrong but I think the Spuds have won more Uefa and Cup Winners cups than you.

Just keep looking at the Northern teams gooners and dream !

  44. gunner james Says:

And there we have it, Mark says that they’ll be taking 4th off us next season. Same old rubbish coming from the yids year after year. I suppose it’s different this time cause you’ve got Ramos, the same as it was different last year cause you had Jol. You should wait until you actually come above us in the league before spouting your usual rubbish, although i don’t expect that to happen in my lifetime. FOREVER IN OUR SHADOW.

  45. THFC Says:

yid1 is a gooner in disguise.

Velas been watching “sky 4″ for a couple of years he probably thinks the gooners never bored everyone to death for ninety years with their trademark “football” lol really was some of the ugliest “football” in the history of the universe boring boring arsenal….

  46. modric Says:

basically i’ll keep this simple there is only 1 team in London n always has been 1 football team in london n thats TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FOOTBALL CLUB. END OF!!!

  47. Darius Says:

    In reference to:
    Sean Says:
    June 10th, 2008 at 12:28
    “(in terms of championships one)”

Ha! A spurs fan who can’t even spell “won”. Still, I guess he’s had no need to write “championships won” since 1961 so we should let him off!

  48. jetboots Says:

vela obviously does not know about out glorious history and as for yid1 i just believe he is a passionate spurs fan like all of us buh is just venting it in the wrong way
    uefa cup next season :p

  49. kevin Says:

right heres all the news you gooners n (vela) have wanted 2 hear quoted from our spurs site and gio dos santos himslef
” Giovani said: “It is a dream for me to come to a big club like Spurs” also “This is clearly a big club with a lot of ambition, and I can see it growing in the future.” and lastly the news that all you a*s*a*l fans have been waiting 2 hear “It is great to see Spurs fans wearing the shirt on the streets of London. I came here because of the passion of the fans as well as the size of the club, and I’m very much looking forward to playing in England.”

I believe this puts and end to this debate :P

  50. Blue Mooner Says:

I think that Vela is speaking from experience. He says that he hopes Gio will get the minutes that he didn’t at Barca. Vela is getting no minutes at Arsenal, and that’s because Arsenal are a big club. I agree that with Vela that the move was to get more first team football, but what happens when he’s good enough to start every weekend with a huge club eg. Madrid/Barca/Man U. I think he would move on then…

  51. Brendan Says:

Crazy to think that even though all of the Arsenal fans on here claim not to be worried about Tottenham and our potential to overhaul them or Liverpool or even Chelsea for the coveted 4th spot but still go slightly manic when it’s mentioned. If you’re genuinely not bothered then why comment.

Lets get a bit of a reality check here, are Arsenal a better side than Spurs? At the moment yes. Have they been more succesful recently? Yes. But does that make us a small club? I don’t think so.

Lets not forget that 5 years or so ago, Spurs were only hoping to qualify for the Uefa Cup, now we have done that 3 years in a row its become a minimum requirement. This only proves that we are, as a club, moving in the right direction and have the POTENTIAL to break the top 4 cartel and are PROBABLY the best equipped to do so. Whether or not it becomes reality remains to be seen.

  52. ManUworld Says:

Arsenal a big club. - Their European History is as follows.

Uefa Cup winners Cup - 1994 oh and the European fairs cup in 1970 but according to Uefa the Fairs Cup is not considered a UEFA competition, and hence clubs’ records in the Fairs Cup are not considered part of their European record

Spurs have won 3 Uefa European Titles in 63,72,84

Arsenal - Thats Pathetic ! Thats worse than Liverpools league form !!

  53. gunner james Says:

Brendan you finished 11th last season and 30 points off 4th spot, you’re nowhere near finishing in a champions league place. You were just 10 points ahead off Reading and they were relegated.

  54. RICH YIDO Says:

HEHEHE POOR ARSENAL FANS MAKE ME LAUGH. BLESS ‘EM THEY NEED TO SUPPORT A SUCCESSFUL TEAM BECAUSE THEY LEAD SUCH BORING INSIGNIFICANT LIVES IN DEAD END JOBS. AND NOW THEY AINT WINNING NOTHING THEY HAVE TO COME UP WITH RUBBISH LIKE THIS KNOCKING US.

  55. 5-1 Says:

    5-1, 5-1, 5-1, 5-1, 5-1, 5-1
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  56. Brendan Says:

So James, taking into consideration all relevant factors, squad, finances etc, do you not think that Tottenham are the best equipped of the rest of the premiership to challenge for the top 4 places? Honestly. If not who is?

Also, I have conceded on this site before that last season was poor and firmly believe that it was a blip, poor form at the beginning of the season which was a knock on effect of what was happening behind the scenes and poor form towards the end of the season after we had already qualified for the Uefa Cup - You don’t catch a bus and keep running do ya?

If you remember the season your lot (just) pipped us to 4th, when the next season came around did you not think that you could win the league, even though the season before you barely qualified for the Champions League??

  57. gooners n01 Says:

manu world why are you getting into a arsenal totscum debate?
go jump off a cliff you c***,another surrey supporting manc go p*** yourself.
anyway back to the scum, whjat define’s a big club.

1.sold out every game home game over 6000
2.38,187 the record attendance for a youth cup game.
2.unbeaten in the premiership(have you ever one the premierleague?
3.it took 9 years to beat our reserve side
4.we get to see champions league football year in year out
5.we have over 45000 on the season ticket waiting list.
    6.we have arsen wenger

  58. 5-1 Says:

1.sold out every game home game over 6000…..six zero zero zero

you do’nt even know any number bigger than 10 000

reserve side?…. i thought adebayour is you best player.
did yoe see you arsen wenger’s face after 5-1 drubbing…it could be 9-1.

  59. islington gooner Says:

you nearly pipped us to fourth when we was at weakest,we was devolping a young side which now is bursting with talent.
you lot might wanna take the p***,but arsenal will be back to win the league next year.
arsenal has the fire in the belly right now and we will be the team to catch.

  60. islington gooner Says:

it took you 9 years to win a carling cup game?
we beat you 3-1 at white hart and 2-1 at the grove.
    6 points where it mattered.
if we was so desprate for sucess in the carling cup.
why would we play a second string team againest chelski?

  61. Brendan Says:

Spelling mistakes aside, whats the deal with you calling the side we beat in the CC your reserve side, did you not know that 8 of the team that featured against Tottenham in THAT semi played a part in the away win against AC Milan. Using your logic, you play your reserve side in the CL? or perhaps even, still using, your moth brained logic, Tottenham are better than AC Milan, seeing as you beat them and we beat you?? Some people.

  62. islington gooner Says:

have a look at the average attendances and you will see that we have the second highest home attendance behind united.

  63. no.1 gooner Says:

ok so i spelt one instead of won
im at work, you know work where you have to earn money.
    you tramp.

  64. Brendan Says:

When did you play a second string team against Chelski?? Also, some success is better than no success isn’t it? or when it comes to Spurs v Arsenal does all maths/logic go out the window to favour Ar5ena1?

In the real world winning something (A race, A deal, Respect!!) is better than coming fourth in something.

  65. gunner james Says:

Brendan, I honestly don’t think any team outside the top 4 will achieve a top 4 place next season. But I would have to say Everton are in with the biggest chance based simply on their league position last season.

I see your point about already having qualified for the Eufa cup through the Carling cup but your poor form in the league started way before then, you were relegation candidates just before Christmas and as i said before you still weren’t far off it even after Ramos arrived.

Of course you’re going to be optimistic for the coming season as all us gooners are, what’s the point in believing you’re just there to make up the numbers. But since I was old enough to understand football Spurs always seem to find a way to mess things up. You’ve had some good teams over the last 20 odd years but never seem to be able to push on to a consistent level. The most recent example is when you nearly pipped us to 4th, all you had to do was beat West Ham and you’d have had a champions league place at the expense of us, we would never have lived it down and you could have pushed on to bigger and better things but instead you blew it.

I just can’t see this pattern changing any time soon.

  66. Brendan Says:

classic comeback no.1 gooner, tramp :) ain’t heard that since I was 12. Before gooners take the easy joke bait it wasnt last week.

    Anyway - ‘Arsen’ anyone?

  67. no.1 gooner Says:

i mean chelsea in the carling cup final,we played a second string and nearly beat them.
if we wanted sucess that bad we would have opted with a first team, numbnuts.

  68. Brendan Says:

James, Now thats a response I can relate to and respect. Far from the majority of Arsenal fans on this page today who just seem limited to slagging us off.

I couldn’t agree more - I have seen more false dawns than I care to remember and I am only 23, but I say this in all honesty, I have never felt as optimistic about our up and coming season just because of the Ramos factor. His ability to attract, top players like Modric (ran the show the other night) uncapped potential of Dos Santos and linked with all kinds of other top class players. I know it sounds like a never ending echo just eternal optimists I guess, only time will tell. Lets hope that someone breaks the top 4 anyway otherwise we will become like the SPL.

  69. no.1 gooner Says:

    he run the show?
do you honestly think he will get that amount of time and space in the premiership?

  70. Brendan Says:

Well we nearly qualified for the champs league, but didn’t. Plus wasn’t that the season you lot nearly won the champions league aswell?? If not there is a lot of nearly winning going on in Ashburton but not of lot of actual winning.

  71. Brendan Says:

Great players always have time, a la hoddle, carrick, Fabregas?? We will wait and see.

  72. ManUworld Says:

gooner no1 - The reason I’m on this is to put down this so called amazing Big team you have. Surrey ! I live in Chester.
Oh and please tell me you have more than this to shout about !!!

I wouldn’t wipe my Ar$e with that lot.

  73. Head home sarf Says:

Rule no.6 for being a big club… “we have arsen (sic.) wenger”… Hilarious.

There’s only one N.London team in N.London, the trains to South London leave from London Bridge…

  74. 5-1 Says:

yOUR BEST PLAYER LAST YEAR FLAMINI HAS LEFT U FOR NOUT UR FALLING APART, AND WE WILL SEE ANOTHER 5-1 THIS YEAR MAYBE AT THE EMIRATES YID ARMY!!!!!!!!

Vela did not mean any harm for saying what he said. He probably don’t even know about the rivalry yet. Remember they are playing friendlies. Thes two are friends and maybe Vela is just saying what his friend probably told him in a conversation. on the line of big clubs. When people outside of England say big cluds they are not necessaryliy saying who won the league or who won a domestic cup. They are talking about how well known the club is. And I can bet that is what Vela meant. AC Milan got beaten by Arsenal in the CL but but they are a bigger club than Arsenal. If a player from Africa, South American, Eastern Europe, was given their choice of clubs to join with the same amount of salaries to be paid by any club they choose, the clubs on their list will be the AC Milans, Real Madrid, Barcalona, Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea…..believe me Totteham will not be on that list and this is not an insult. How man people around the world knows about the Spurs than they know about the clubs listed above. I am a gunner fan, but I used to luv watching liverpool play when i was 7 to 9 years old. Sometimes your club is big as the names that have goone through there. No disrespect to Spurs, as I think they will be a force to reckon with come next season.

  76. THFC Says:

just shows the influence “sky 4″ has had on gooner minds do you honestly believe that anyone outside goonerland gave a toss about your boring club pre Wenger or even knew about it
for that matter, no offence intended. Sky television has increased “sky 4″ exposure where would you goons be without sky television and how many European trophies do you have if your so mightyly known around the place.

  77. 61 nevar again Says:

Of course Dos Santos will use the scum as a stepping stone, as he will never win a championship at the scum, he wont ever play in the champions league at the scum, he will soon get fed up of finishing mid table and winning perhaps the odd mickey mouse cup, just as Campbell used the scum as a stepping stone, he knew he would never win the league whilst at a pityful, small time club like spurs, so he saw sense and moved to Highbury, as they say the rest is history. Keep dreaming yid filth, as reality is somewhat out of your hands.

    Always in our shadow

  78. 61 nevar again Says:

Try and get over your inferiority complex all you spurs mugs, you aint a big club, never have been and never will be, the sooner you accept that you are londons 4th best club, after ARSENAL, Chelsea and West Ham the better, the whole football world is laughing at you, youre a small time club with small time fans, the sooner you get over the jealousey the better, you are and always will be in the shadow of the ARSENAL

To the Man U fan who sticks his nose in, just remember Munich 58, a great night for English football

  80. THFC Says:

boring boring arsenal anyone?? oh dear what a “football” club lol 90 boring years never again….

gooners always in our shadow always will be. so when was the last time your lot won a trophy?

  81. Blue Moon Says:

Spuds fans tell me this - you finished 11th last season, do you seriously think you can grab 4th?

As a City fan i think we are better equipped on and off the pitch financially to compete. Who are you going to replace Berbatov with when he sulks off?

Arsenal fans - you couldn’t fill your away capacity at COMS last season so much for 45000 waiting list!!

  82. Michael Jackson Says:

    Sha’mone!

  83. THFC Says:

Blue moon, I agree City are more likely to pose more of a threat to challenge 4th you currently have a better side and a better manager!

  84. 61 Never again Says:

Yids please remind me when you last won the premiership,…………… oh thats right silly me you never have and never will, wheres we have won it TWICE on your own manor, thats the same amount of times you mugs have won the league in your entire history lol, how embarassing. You think that we are in your shadow, please explain as we have a bigger ground than you, won more trophies than you , have more fans and much more success than you can ever dream of, yet more delusion from the yids! To blue moon, we couldnt sell out our allocation last season, thats funny because we sold out every league game last season, so you obviously talk as much rubbish as the yids!

61 never again you should be ashamed. People died in the Munich aircrash, people that were not connected with Man Utd FC. But that’s besides the point. Your comment was disgracefull. I would call you pond life but even pond life is capable of evolving.

  86. Rudi Says:

I like a good banter with the fans from Highbury, but 61 never again you are not a well person… I only hope some Arsenal fans have the decency to step up and condemn this type of talk. Banter is one thing, to speak with such disrespect about one of the greatest losses to the ENGLISH game is unpatriotic and sick. Banter aside. Sort yourself out mate. Get some help.

have a look at the average attendances and you will see that we have the second highest home attendance behind united.

When you haev the 2nd largest ground capacity in the league, then you’d expect to have the second highest home attendance behind united - you tw*t. The true calaculation would be percentage of seats filled per game over the course of the season

Back to GCSE Maths for you, methinks
