Who is the Best Premier League Striker in London? Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, Fulham & Spurs Fans Have Your Say!

Emmanuel Adebayor: Is the Togolese Man Mountain the Capital’s Best? There’s been so much speculation surrounding the strikers of London clubs this summer with press reports rife with potential sales. However, as of yet Arsenal strikers Emmanuel Adebayor (linked to AC Milan & Barca) and Robin Van Persie (linked to Inter) remain firmly at the Emirates.

Is Berbatov London’s Finest?Similar can be said of Spurs pair Dimitar Berbatov (linked to Man United, AC Milan, Barca etc etc) and Robbie Keane (linked to Liverpool). In fact, the Bulgarian has been linked with moves away from White Hart Lane for the past year but with a huge price tag on his head he may well be still there at the start of the season.

West Ham managed to secure the future of their prized asset Dean Ashton after he signed a new long-term contract. However, with so much speculation arising concerning the top strikers plying their trade in the capital, we’d like to know who you consider to be the best of the best?

Vote and let’s hear your view why.

  1. Young Guns Go For It Says:

Van Persie when fit is by far the best, he is in a different class to Adebayor and on another planet to the chelski, Spuds and spammers forwards!

  2. Yiddo Says:

Berbatov is the best, silky touch, strong, quick, a true spurs legend…to compare him to Ashton is like comparing a thoroughbred to a beach donkey!

  3. pheg-yidyid Says:

ashton - typical spammers!!!! no where near the qualit of Berba or Ade! Berba best tho - have to stay true to my roots!!!

  4. pheg-yidyid Says:

Its a shame your man Van Persie is made of Balsa wood!! oh yeah and also average!!

  5. win26draw12d Says:

lol so many blind spud fans here…RVP forever

  6. win26draw1 Says:

SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY VOTED FOR HEALY?!

  7. Undefeated Reds Says:

Adebayor has to be, I love him, he is the best in the world and we have the best team ever. I won’t be surprised if we stay unbeaten again next season and win the champions league, Ade will score 40plus next season

  8. Yiddo Says:

once again from the votes we can see that Spurs have the biggest fan base in London…the rest of you are a joke!

  9. 2e-thfc Says:

van persie by far>? hahaa yeh right what planet are you on? i agree hes a great player on his day but berbatov is clearly the best, end of.

  10. CarloShelfSide Says:

    Berba for sure!!
There is some great talent in that list but nobody with his all round ability.
Plus hes the only one on that list that can score from headers! - Please tell me otherwise!! ; )

  11. 2e-thfc Says:

tbh adebayor can header! haha but berb is defo the best all round consistent player in that list with every attribute you could wish for.

  12. CarloShelfSide Says:

Oh and “Undefgeated Reds” come on mate…. wakey, wakey, eggs and bakey!!
Ade scores goals from the fact you have an amazing mid-field. Generally Fabregas kicks the ball AT him to score and not TO him. :)

  13. CarloShelfSide Says:

“2e-thfc” Whose side you on??!! LOL

  14. Daniel Says:

fernando Torres is the best striker in the premier league. he has quick touch and the ability to pass defense. He is the best in london

  15. COYSTID Says:

Who voted for Bent? Would be between Berba and Ade. Berba all the way for obvious reasons.

  16. Toto Says:

easily Berbatov, but he will not be based in London for much longer

  17. IQATL Says:

Van Persie? Oh come on! It’s between Berba and Ade and Berba gets the nod.

Put aside rivarlies for one moment and vote with your head…

  18. Eh Says:

Torres best striker in LONDON?? Have you watched the Premier League before?

  19. peter Says:

berba is the best of the best.it proves tottenham got best fan bace in london. come on you spurs

  20. Etri Says:

At present def Berba. Attutude open to question but truly world class player.

  21. BERBA’S MUM Says:

    my baby berba
Has to be the best in London, And he told me he will be a yid for life
    Ar5nel 1 SUPER YIDS 5

  22. Caknucklehead Says:

Am a big Arsenal fan, but I would have to say Berbatov, if he played for a decent team like the gunners,(hehe) think of the goals he would’ve scored. Many more than that asshat Ade-douchebag! I ain’t got NO problem if he goes and makes us milions. But, had Eduardo not been hurt, I’m sure he would have fired us home. That guy is the most natural around the net I have seen since Thierry of old.

  23. ManUworld Says:

    Facts speak bundles.

Keane. Most consistant goals scored and assists over the last 3 seasons. Adeybayor is so far a one season wonder with 30 goals. Remember Kevin Philips! he hit 30 one season and then never again.
Van Persie is quality but not fit and no consistancy. So Far
Berbatov scores goals and is a great player but team player I’m not sure.
I reckon Eduardo and Ashton will be the ones to watch this year.
    kEANE FOR NOW THOUGH.

  24. WHL time Says:

Spot on spursboy keep it real

  25. James Says:

Dean Ashton - why? - he hit superb form at the end of the season and he has been injured and so his time on field/score ratio is one of the best in the leauge.

  26. spurfect one Says:

thers only one KEANO the rest cant touch him for consistency.

  27. James Says:

I think Ashton is a quality player, but hes not in the same league as berbatov, adebayor, van pervy and keano.

On pure goal-scoring ability, id have to say eduardo is the best. he finished like there is no one else on the pitch, and he is never rushed.

However, i think you have to look at the all round game, which berbatov gets my vote. he can finish, but also has got the touch of dennis bergkamp, is strong, skillfull, deceptivley quick and extremely clever. only doubt about him is work ethic and commitment.

woa oh oh hes magic, you knooow. DONT LET OUR DIMITAR GO!

    COYS

  28. Col Says:

I think those who are surprised that Ashton has got the votes will need to see him play a full season (if that is possible), he had a lot of bad luck with injuries over the past two season but I seriously believe you will be shocked at just how effective he is.

As for the yids claiming that Berba will be top scorer, he may well be, but not in London :)

  29. Yidder Says:

Got to say Keano on consistency and finishing from all over. Berbs is top quality but too lazy by far. Have to say Van pussie is a great player but a sick note and Adebayor is a money grabbing one season wonder. As for the rest no real competition.

    Please don’t go Robbie

    COYS.

  30. West Ham Dan Says:

If bebatov is so great, then why did the spuds finish below Wset Ham?? Big club Tottenham……ha ha ha ha! you are a boring medium over rated team!

  31. West Ham Dan Says:

ha ha! keane going to a bigger club, why would he want to stay at a feeder club, bottom half of the table team?!

  32. col Says:

Please excuse my fellow West Ham supporting prick above. He is just one idiot, do not judge all West Ham fans in the same way.

  33. West Ham Dan Says:

Are you sure you are a west ham fan col? sorry to upset you. didnt know you were a closet yid! oh and by the way, did i mention that we finished above Tottenham?

  34. West Ham Dan Says:

Please excuse my fellow West Ham supporting knob col. He is an armchair fan who doesn’t like any banter. He is a former steward who gets a kick out of telling people to “sit down” and he boos his own team. Do not judge all West Ham fans in the same way.

  35. west ham dans mom Says:

Berbatov, different gravy. If anyone sees my danny tell him Im working late its happy hour all day today.

    love you long time,
    Dans Mom

  36. Captain Claret Says:

you spurs lads should be more concerned with that bulldozer attack today than mucking about on the internet. Shame on you. Phone your families.

  37. West Ham Dan Says:

My mum doesn’t know what she is talking about! Don’t work too hard!

  38. James Says:

Everyone vote Ashton, clearly the best top notch quality person and player every team would like. Not some crappy foreign chap who wears gloves every match.

All vote for Deano and over take the stupid spuds thinking that they will ‘become top 4′

Ashton for the win - come on you irons !

  39. jj Says:

Ade is in my opinion terrible. How many chances did he miss for you gooners. He has only had one half of a good season, his 2nd half of the season form was shocking and the main reason arsenals goals dried up thus them losing there top place.

Berbatov has done it 2 seasons in a row now and is pure class. However his attitude at times is terrible but still i would put him as the top striker.

Keane has scored consistantly for the last 4 seasons and would have to go near the top, he is very underated.

Rvp is always injured, although glimpse’s of brilliance have been seen.

Ashton is a great player but doesnt have the skill of all the above mentioned. He has been unlucky with injurie’s too.

Eduardo looked okay but will need to see more of him.

Drogba scores goals but thats about it, not as skillful as berbatov, keane and rvp.

Anelka, shevchenko and bellamy are nothing special.

Bent hasnt been given a chance yet we must not forget at charlton he was highest english goalscorer for two seasons.

So here is what i would say..top to bottom.

1 Berbatov - Pure class. A complete striker has it all.
2 Keane - Skillful consistant goalscorer over many seasons.
3 Drogba - Scores plenty of goals consistantly
4 RVP - Obvious skill and class but always injured
5 Ade - One season wonder, needs to prove himself nextseason
6 Bent - Obvious goalscoring record, not given a fairchance.
7 Ashton - Decent striker not as skillful as others though
8 Eduardo - Not given long enough, time will tell, looksgood
9 Anelka - Doesnt settle for too long, obvious skill
10 Shevchenko - Rubbish in the prem, shame
    11 Bellamy - Nuff said
12 Healy - cough cough hmmm

  40. James Says:

    i agree with jj.
i would put eduardo higher, i think hes awsum
but sadly he got injured, so didnt reli see enuf of him

  41. Brooking No.10 Says:

“Once again from the votes we can see that Spurs have the biggest fan base in London…the rest of you are a joke!”

No mate, I think it’s purely down to the fact that you Spud muppets are a bunch of boring anorak nerds who spend all-day on football-related forums while fans of the Gooners, Chavski and us Hammers do what we’re supposed to do… WORK! Now get a job, why don’t you…

  42. toonarmy9 Says:

surely ashton, eduardo, anelka, shevchenko and bellamy are all better than bent?

  43. Toonited Says:

there is only one player it could ever be and that is ROBIN VAN PERSIE

  44. robin Says:

well well, how stupid pathetic you spurs fans are spurs biggest fan base in london what a crap joke this is why whole world laughs at you if anyone by chance know you outside UK not many why do you not accept arsenal are much much bigger than you they are bigger than you in london and absolutely huge on worldwide scale and this is based on facts’
and as for best striker in london it has to be van persie though he has suffered by unfortunate injuries and if he was fit he has got more talent than ronaldo

  45. yeeeeeeeeedooooooooo Says:

It’s Berbatov all day long I reckon, closest thing may be adetwat, but he’s gotta do it for more than one season, Keano, is better than ade prob on consistent basis.
