Wednesday, July 9th, 2008Spurs have signed Crystal Palace’s 16-year old starlet John Bostock on a 5-year contract ahead of a host of interested clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and even Catalan giants Barcelona. The starlet’s contract with the Eagles expired last week and a tribunal decided that Spurs had to pay an initial fee of £700,000 for the player rising to £1.25m which in today’s market is next to nothing. It’s of no wonder that Palace Chairman Simon Jordan is fuming with the decision as he rated the player at nearer the £5m mark.

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008Spurs are reported to be on the verge of signing Crystal Palace’s 16-year old starlet John Bostock ahead of a host of interested clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and even Catalan giants Barcelona.The youngster made his Palace debut as a 15-year-old after coming on as a 72nd minute substitute against Watford and has made only 4 senior appearances since. Bostock’s debut at 15 years and 288 days old made him the youngest ever Eagles debutant. He may have yet to score a senior goal but his attributes include great pace, a strong left-foot and an excellent range of passing.
