MANCHESTER UTD v FULHAM - UNITED STRIKE BACK?

United will have been stunned by last weekends defeat at lowly Bolton so should be one of your bankers on Premier 10 to bounce back with a win on Monday. Don’t be put off by their last Premier League display as you can rest assured Cristiano Ronaldo and Nemanja Vidic will return to the side as they play catch-up with Arsenal. In fact, Ferguson’s side have not lost two Premier League matches in succession since April 2005 so take that into account when making your picks.

The Red Devils have won the last five meetings between the clubs. This includes the last three games at Old Trafford. In recent seasons the scores have been particularly high with 20 goals scored in the last four encounters. This could be worth noting when betting on Goalden and Goal Getter games this weekend. However, don’t expect the Cottagers to be the team scoring, they have managed just four goals away this season, all in individual games. United on the other hand have been watertight at the back with the strongest home defensive record in the League having conceded just the one goal to strugglers Middlesbrough.

Fulham have won once in 12 games, lost 17 points from winning positions and failed to win seven of eight games they have led in. The only time they have kept a lead was 3-1 at home against Reading at the start of November. These stats will not be much use this weekend as few would expect the Cottagers to score, let alone take the lead at the Theatre of Dreams. It is difficult to see United slipping up two weeks in a row especially against Lawrie Sanchez’s side that shows few signs of improvement.

TOP TIP: Back to business for United (home win)
