FULHAM v WIGAN - THE LATICS TO LEAVE WITH 3 POINTS?

Steve BruceSteve Bruce’s Latics ripped up the formbook last weekend with a ‘freak’ 5-3 home win over Blackburn. Wigan had never scored 5 goals in the Premier League before and Marcus Bent’s hat-trick was his first in 7 years so this was hardly a typical game at the JJB.

Fulham slid into the relegation zone with their last minute home defeat to Newcastle last weekend and have not won in the League for 5 games. They parted with their manager Lawrie Sanchez on Friday as a result. The Cottagers have not scored in 4 hours and 57 minutes but surely the visit of Titus Bramble and co will halt that run. Especially as Wigan have conceded a total of 17 goals in the last 5 away games alone.

The Latics have not won away from home since the final day of last season but spirits will be high and confidence restored after the emphatic win over Rovers last Saturday. Wigan may have had to wait 4 months for a League win but like buses expect two to come at once. So back them to win on Premier 10 this Saturday.

TOP TIP: Another Brucie bonus for Steve (away win)
