The Two Ronnies to Appear in the Premier League?
Once again Ronaldinho is being touted as a possible Premier League signing this summer. The former World Player of the Year has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for the past few years and if he were to become available they would surely be strong favourites to land his services given their bottomless pit of wealth and Champions League status.
However press reports also claim Juande Ramos could also be in the hunt for the Brazilian to join his Tottenham revolution. Surely this link has little credence as Spurs are hardly equipped to offer the Barca genius the wages or Champions League football he’s become accustomed too. If the Samba star was to move to England surely the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal would be strongly interested as both are in need of world class talent to compete with the star-studded reigning champions Manchester United.
Ronaldinho hasn’t been at his scintillating best this season but he is still only 28 and surely has his best years ahead of him. It’s been reported that he could also be available for as little as £12million due to FIFA article 17, which would allow him to buy out the remainder of his contract. So he could prove to be an absolute steal and could provide Cristiano Ronaldo with a contender to his crown as the Premier League’s most exciting entertainer.
So do you think this story has any truth in it? If so, where do you expect the Brazilian to end up after the summer transfer merry-go-round? Let’s hear your views.
