I didn’t vote as, apart from Portsmouth, and Niall Quinn and Roy Keane at Sunderland, who would certainly love to get him, I believe Arsene Wenger is keeping his cards close to his chest regarding a player, who, according to a number of respected sources, he reportedly very much admires.

Generally in situations where a player is much sought after, there’s often somebody ‘waiting in the wings’, ready to pounce.

All this talk about breaking into the top 4, have a look at the ‘rightresult.com’ and Jeff Winters website and you will see that if Everton had had a fair crack of the whip from the referees last season then we would have finished 4th by a country mile.You will now say that we can all moan about referees but the decisions that went against Everton last season were criminal and we still ended up 5th.

Spurs will break the top four next season. Of course, they will… just after news coverage of UFO landings at wembley stadium!!

You Spuds are truly demented. I’m sure you’ll have a better season next year but it would be hard not to really wouldn’t it?? But top 4, palease! Not in a million years. You’ll be lucky to break into the second mini league of Everton, Villa, Man City, Pompey etc. That would be a far more realsitic goal.

Every year it’s the same old crap from the Spud fans going on about how next season all their massively over expensive new signings will make the difference and they’ll be better than last year, blah, blah, blah!! At least the Everton, Villa and Man City fans have the humility to remain amibitious without coming across as arrogant and deluded!

The 6+5 rule would be fine for west ham: green, ferdinand, upson, parker, ashton, etherington, cole, mullins, noble, wright, walker, zamora, quashie, bowyer, tomkins, dyer, sears and davenport all english. Does anybody know whether it includes welsh/scottish/n.irish players?
