The Uefa Euro 2008 Team of the Tournament was as expected packed full of Spanish and German stars yet only one Turkish player was included despite their incredible run to the semi-finals. That man was Bayern Munich’s midfield lynchpin Hamit Altintop.

Press reports suggest two of the biggest clubs in Britain are battling it out for the service of young Czech starlet Marek Suchy this summer. The 20-year-old Slavia Prague defender is currently being chased by Glasgow giants Rangers and David Moyes Everton after another impressive season.

Would Spurs Fans Rather Keep Dimitar Berbatov or Robbie Keane? My Vote’s for the Irishman

Reports in the weekend’s press suggest Liverpool are chasing Tottenham’s talismanic Irishman Robbie Keane this summer. The 27-year-old striker has been at Spurs for close to 6 years and has proven himself to be a huge fans favourite. Whereas his strike partner Dimitar Berbatov has been linked away from the club for the past season, this speculation over Keane’s future is a new development and one you’d expect the club not to welcome. After all, of these two forwards I would wager the majority of Spurs fans would prefer to keep their club Vice-Captain rather than the sulky, whinging Bulgarian.

Chelsea Chase Russian Euro 2008 Star But it’s Not Arshavin: Should Arsenal, Liverpool, Man United, Everton & Spurs be Chasing Too?

Arguably the best left-back at Euro 2008 has been Russia’s outstanding Yuri Zhirkov this summer. The CSKA Moscow star has been in sensational form as the Russians stormed into the semi-finals on the back of a 3-1 win over the Dutch. Despite the loss to Spain a number of ther players have impressed during the tournament though it’s Andrei Arshavin who’s received most of the plaudits and was heavily linked to Stamford Bridge. However, former Head Coach Avram Grant let slip on Israeli TV that’s it not the Russian Captain Chelsea are targeting but his team-mate Zhirkov.
