All the people are griefing Spurs out of it are clearly just Arsenal,Liverpool and Chelsea fans because look at who has trophies this year and who doesnt???Its just bitterness. Btw I’m not even a spurs fan. I support United!!!!! But in relation to the actual article Modric is the best buy your going to get. Another reason for Arsenal fans because I do believe he publicly rejected signing for them!!!

Yet more delusion from spurs fans, who yet again make fools of themselves in the summer with their predictions, about how they will qualify for the champs league, and in a few years will be premiership champions, lol, wake up spurs fans and see yourself for what you are, a small time club with no hope in hell of ever winning the premiership, challenging for 4th place, etc, its so funny seeing you melt away like an ice cream in the sunshine. Face facts, you are laughed at by other fans, and you mugs never learn. Dont try to play with the big boys, you cant compete, just pretenders to the throne!

Sean. Would love to see Bent giving a go next year, but i can honestly see another forward coming in, but on the other hand its good to have healthy competition! I believe with King back fit (big if there tho!), alongise woody, hutton and bale that could be a very strong back 4! Modric’s creativity will be a huge plus, my only wonder is who will ‘anchor’ alongside him, as much as id love to see Huddlestone do that, i think Ramos would bring in someone else, in the Poulsen mould maybe? Someone who can get a foot in, and dictate the play from deeper. Dos Santos and Bostock (if finihed?) are very exciting buys, but i cant see ramos finishing yet, im predicting 3 more faces, maybe more! We should hve a squad brimming with potential, and lets leave Juande to what he does best, getting ateam to play as a team, motivate them and maximise the obvious potential in the squad. I would love to see Diego Capel join the club! Fingers crossed for a good year next year!

ThemisB - there are plenty of Spurs fans with heaps of knowledge and capable of using it objectively, thank-you very much.
Indeed, much the same accusation may be thrown in your face.
To take one example: you finish by throwing the ‘imminent departure’ of Berbatov in our faces like it is some master-stroke and ask how we will replace him. If you had thought about it subjectively, even assuming he does leave (and haven’t you noticed the irony that he is supposedly set in his heart upon Champs League football and the only team to show definite interest are AC Milan - who, like, Spurs, are not in Champs. league next year), well, perhaps there is a ready made replacement in Darren Bent. Only niaive observers, IMHO, are accepting the media designation of Bent as a FLOP. Well, actually, most Spurs fans are well aware that he wasn’t going to break-up the Keane/Berbatov partnership. it is also evident, as Ramos said several times, that the midfield lacked creativity, adn he (Ramos) is setting about rectifying this (just as he used the January window to rectify obvious defensive frailties). As one of the great strengths of berbatov (and the reason so many are so impressed with him) is his link-up play with midfield - but Keane does this pretty damned effectively too. Bent on the other hand is far more direct in his play -an d so will benefit from a more creative midfield. He scored more goals than some teams’ top scorers, without EVER being given a run in the team, and largely confined to subs appearances - how many goals a minute? Under these circumstances I just do not accept that his goal haul warrants the designation FLOP. And besides, he is only 24, and so, to utilise traditional terminology, THERE IS PLENTY OF IMPROVEMENT IN HIM. So don’t just accept that he is a flop - he may be an alreadt bought-and-paid-for replacement for Berbs.
Look at it this way: midfield is alreay strengthened with three of the most exciting young talents in the game, and, if Berbatov is sold for a shed-load of cash, Bent can be promoted, we have some exciting young forwards in the reserves who can be promoted to the bench - and still have a significant transfer kitty left-over.
Oh, and by-the-way anyone who imagines that Spurs league former after the CC triumph really matters and is indicative of the teams quality and Ramos’ abilities is a fool!

The Berbatov Spurs had last year will be easy to replace. Let’s face it he only scored 23 goals and turned up with the right attitude about half the time. Taking Berbatov out of Spurs would be nowhere as bad as taking Ronaldo or Torres out of their teams. Spurs scored more than enough goals last year - our problem was at the other end. The best 2 signings Spurs could make this summer are Ledley King and Gareth Bale

Replacing Berba wont be easy, but plenty of other options are there, maybe you cant see them! Crouch and Voronin, will definitely not be on a spurs wanted list thats for sure! Berba sulked since cup final, i personally believe Robbie Keane is more influential. Berba is good for the money, and a decent replacement can be made with the profit. Looks good for spurs, no matter what others say, apparently ambiton means going for fourth spot every year, and signing Spaniards!

When will Spurs fans learn? You are the epitomy of lacking ambition. Success is your carrot, yet you are a stale old donkey making one step forward then two steps back, year after year, with nothing but the pathetic nibble of a Carling Cup to keep you going. The signings you have made are far from guaranteed successes and are more for the future, anyway. Oh, and then there’s the small matter of replacing Berbatov, which won’t be easy to say the least.

Get some knowledge, then use it objectively.

Modric is without doubt the best so far, closely followed by Bosingwa - was VERY impressed with him against Turkey. Gio in distant 3rd. Crap signing by Liverpool tho, we’ll be taking their Champs league spot next year for sure!
