Tottenham New Boy David Bentley: Arsenal Reject or the One that Got Away from Wenger?

Tottenham unveiled their new £15m signing David Bentley today after securing a deal with Blackburn to end one of the longest transfer saga’s of the summer. The 23-year-old’s arrival has lifted the gloom surrounding White Hart Lane following the sale of Vice-captain Robbie Keane to Liverpool.

Newcastle’s bid for Deportivo’s Argentine defender Fabricio Coloccini looks under threat from big spending Tottenham. The North London club have just signed David Bentley with Andrei Arshavin on the horizon but Juande Ramos is still chasing a central defender and the floppy haired Argentine certainly fits the bill.

Super Swede Arrives at Fulham: Hodgson Beats Sunderland, Man City, Blackburn & Wigan to Defender

Fulham have signed Rosenborg defender Fredrik Stoor on a four-year deal ahead of a host of Premier League clubs including Blackburn, Man City, Sunderland and Wigan. The Swedish international has signed a 4-year contract at Craven Cottage and will boost the Cottagers defence alongside new goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer and Ghanaian John Pantsil.

Van der Vaart to Sign for Real Madrid for £7.8m: How do Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Aston Villa & Newcastle Fans Feel About this Bargain?

Spanish newspaper Marca are reporting that Real Madrid will sign Hamburg’s Dutch star Rafael Van der Vaart for a knockdown £7.8m fee this week. The Spanish champions will face Hamburg in a pre-season friendly at the Emirates stadium on August 2nd and the deal is expected to be concluded after the game.
