The Battle of Britain Begins for Young Czech Sensation: Celtic, Rangers, Everton, Aston Villa & Newcastle in Chase

Marek Suchy: Czech Starlet Coming to the SPL or Premier League?Press reports suggest a number of the biggest clubs in Britain are battling it out for the service of young Czech starlet Marek Suchy this summer. The 20-year-old Slavia Prague defender is currently being chased by Glasgow giants Rangers and Celtic as well as English clubs Everton, Newcastle and Aston Villa after another impressive season.

The youngster broke into the Slavia side aged 17 and has been a relatively permanent fixture ever since. He’s now made 66 League appearances for the club (1 goal) as well as played in both the Champions League and Uefa Cup last season. Suchy was part of the Slavia side that clinched a Champions League group place after beating Ajax over 2 legs last season. He also has experience of playing against English opposition after playing against both Tottenham and Arsenal in last season’s competitions. However, a trip to the Emirates may not be something he’s looking forward to after his side lost 7-0 there last October.

Suchy is yet to feature for the Czech national side but has earned rave reviews for his club and the U21’s. He can play as an orthodox centre-half or as a holding midfielder which fits into a lot of clubs transfer plans this summer.

So would you like your club to sign the young Czech or would you prefer more experienced proven signings? Which club do you believe will win the chase for Suchy? Let’s hear your views.
