Our pundit Alan Hansen felt that the display of Jonas Gutierrez at Manchester United on Sunday was the stand-out performance of the weekend for his powerful display at the Theatre of dreams. Would you agree or did you feel his compatriot’s performance at the heart of the Newcastle defence was better?

How about Arsenal’s match winning debut star Samir Nasri? The Young Frenchman scored his new side’s only goal in their 1-0 win over newly promoted West Brom and fitted straight into the Gunners style of play.

What about the many new signings at Tottenham who may have lost at Boro but well could have caught your eye on the day?

The displays of both Deco and Jose Bosingwa for Chelsea were some of the most impressive of the weekend. The Portuguese international midfielder not only performed well but scored arguably the best goal of the opening weekend in the process.
