Who is the Next Teen Sensation Tipped to Break Through at Your Club? Arsenal, Aston Villa, Spurs, Blackburn, Bolton, Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, West Ham, Liverpool, Man City, Manchester United, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Stoke, Sunderland, West Brom, Hull & Wigan Fans Have Your Say!
As the money-orientated Premier League continues to invest in big money, big name signings fewer and fewer young players are progressing from the academies into the various first teams. The halcyon period when Manchester United’s ‘golden generation’ of the Neville brothers, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt all progressed into the Red Devils side seems a long time ago with very few kids making the grade since.
Liverpool produced the likes of Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Michael Owen whilst Merseyside rivals Everton developed the skills of a certain Wayne Rooney before he departed to Old Trafford. A number of Premier League stars such as David Bentley, Fabrice Muamba and Steve Sidwell started off at Arsenal before failing to make the grade with the Gunners at least. This pre-season we got a glimpse of another top Arsenal youngster and he’s English, the 16-year-old Jack Wilshere. The Stevenage born teenager did not look out of place against the esteemed likes of Real Madrid and Juventus.
Last season saw West Ham blood an exciting new striker in the shape of Freddie Sears who’s been tipped to follow in the footsteps of a variety of home grown Premier League stars such as Joe Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Jermain Defoe. Whilst Newcastle have signed Aaron Spears, a 15-year-old wonderkid from Plymouth dubbed the ‘New Wayne Rooney’ who many expect great things from!
With this is mind, which youngsters currently at your club look like they could be something special? Which kids do you tip for future Premier League Stardom? Which starlet could save your club a fortune in transfer fees? Let’s hear your views.

Dean Parrett and John Bostock will be first team players at the lane within 2 years and future England internationals, the future is bright, the future is lillywhite!

David Worrall, plays Centre-Midfield and has attracted the attention of Newcastle and Everton.
We also have 3 players in contention for the England schoolboys/u16s.
Gavin Carlin is an Irish youth international.

Gael Kakuta and Miroslav Stoch are the two outstanding names from an increasingly promising and succesful looking Chelsea youth setup. Kakuta in particular is seen as the most skillfull player at Stamford bridge, quite some feat for a 16 year old in that squad. He will be huge

Nacer Barazite for Arsenal who’s currently on loan at Derby. There’s also the likes of Harvard Nordtveit and Pedro Botelho who are on loan at Salamanca and Fran Merida Perez.
I would say Carlos Vela as well but he’s already a member of the first team squad. He’s the most likely to make an impact at Arsenal (better than Walcott).

Don’t Chelsea fans consider Franco Di Santo to be a good prospect?
August 21st, 2008 at 15:40
How can you do this article without referring to Man city???????
Against villa there was evans, sturridge, richards, hart, johnson and onouha all under 21, the first three under 20.
Have a look at Vladimir Weiss as the next in queue - right midfielder who destroyed chelsea in last years fa youth cup final.
And unlike spurs and chelsea we don’t steal other teams players then act like cry babies and hypocrites when it happens to us (keane vs ramos anyone?)

I think people will find that the point of this is to name English, or at least British developing talent. Not foreigners who’ll have no hope to our future team. So all you people mentioning these Chelsea and Arsenal stars…what’s the point?
At Villa there is Harry Forrester, Nathan Delfouneso (will see him this season), and Barry Bannan, a very small, very exciting Scottish guy…possibly too small.

Jose Baxter is easily the best young player to come through this season. He is pure quality.
August 21st, 2008 at 16:14
Walcott, the kid looks great, he will help us be unbeaten again this year
August 21st, 2008 at 16:17
Rodwell & Baxter at Everton are the ones who are going to make the biggest impression in my opinion.
And thats coming from a Liverpool fan.
Nemeth and Pacheco will only be squad players at best at Anfield, they arent as good as what some people think.

Carlos Vela, Franco Di Santo , David Worrall, but Jose Baxter is the one !

Ryan Mason of Spurs loads better than Bostock and Parrett.
August 21st, 2008 at 18:59
All the man city players are already first team.
Apart from walcot no idea where any of the others play.
What positions are they - most names seem foreign and who knows what jose baxter is!

Baxter
August 21st, 2008 at 20:21
Jose Baxter is a 16yr old Centre Forward, a very good one at that. Plays for Everton, and will be a regular for them this season. Supposed to be the next big thing on the conveyor belt coming out of Everton, so i guess we’ll sign him for £25m when he’s 18
