Which Premier League Club Made the Best Deadline Day Signing? Arsenal, Aston Villa, Spurs, Chelsea, Everton, Hull, Fulham, West Ham, Liverpool, Man City, Manchester United, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Stoke, Blackburn, Bolton, Sunderland, West Brom & Wigan Fans Have Your Say!
The last transfer deadline day ended with the usual flurry of signings and excitement as Manchester United finally got their man Dimitar Berbatov and Man City’s new owners made a £32.5m statement of intent.
Manchester City were the talk of the Premier League yesterday as they were linked with some of the best attacking talent in European football such as Berbatov, David Villa and Mario Gomez. Instead they signed a Brazilian box of tricks in the shape of Robinho who we all expected to end up at Stamford Bridge. City broke a British transfer fee record with the signing which has made everyone stand up and take notice of the men from Eastlands.
Tottenham sold their moody Bulgarian but failed to bring in the number of new boys expected by the fans. However, they did bring in Euro 2008 star Roman Pavlyuchenko in a £14m deal, Croatian defender Vedran Corluka and young Fraizer Campbell arrived on loan from Old Trafford. Will these players prove to be good buys?
Everton left it late but managed to smash their club record with a £15m deal for Belgian midfield star Marouane Fellaini. Months of frustration saw 3 players arrive in the shape of reserve keeper Carlo Nash as well as injury prone Louis Saha though he did not cost a fee.
The Toffees cross city rivals brought in a couple of youngsters and Spanish winger Albert Riera from Espanyol. Will the Left-sided player finally give Liverpool’s side the width it is crying out for to produce a full-blooded title challenge?
Kevin Keegan brought in Spanish striker Xisco as well as signing Ignacio Gonzalez on loan from Valencia but these signings have not led to much excitement on Tyneside after King Kev lifted expectations of a major arrival.
So who would you consider to be the best deadline day transfer signing in the Premier League? Vote and let’s hear your reasons why.

city made the best signing… why?
because all of a sudden they have so much cash that the price is not an obstacle. It is tantamount to bringign robinho in on a fee transfer.
we are talking 650 billion here, which dwarfs abramovich’s 25.

Don’t be jealous, we have shown our ambition, we now possess an attacking array of talent up there with the best. The player is class and the statement of intent makes it easily the best signing!

Not happy with the number that came in but i think Pavlyuchenko will prove a smash hit, he is quick, tall, athletic and compared to the Bulgarian judas, he tries!
We have made a profit this summer, how many clubs can say that?
