St Mirren v Rangers: Buddies Remain Bottom as Rangers Run Goes On?
Rangers travel to St Mirren looking to extend their unbeaten League run this season. It looks very likely that run will continue this weekend as the Buddies remain marooned at the bottom of the SPL whereas the Gers are sitting pretty at the top.
History is certainly not on St Mirren’s side as they’ve failed to beat Rangers at home since a 2-1 League win in the 1989/90 season. This looks unlikely to change as the Buddies are yet to win a home League game this season and have scored just once in their 3 League games at St Mirren Park. Rangers on the other hand have scored 9 goals in their 3 away games which is more than any other side. Expect that total to grow.
If that’s not enough to convince you to back Rangers on Footy 15 this weekend then the fact Rangers have now won their last four SPL matches in a row should. Also the Gers have won their last 9 successive away meetings with St Mirren. The Buddies haven’t actually scored against Rangers in the last four clashes so this looks a no-brainer with a £275,000 jackpot to be won this week. Also don’t be too surprised if the home side receives a few cards this weekend as they’ve already received 3 red cards this season which is the highest amount in the SPL. The bottom club look set to remain there this weekend.
