Who Will You Back to Win £250,000? Liverpool or Everton, Manchester United or Spurs, Cardiff or Arsenal, Rangers or Celtic Victors Aberdeen?

Will Rangers be Celebrating at Pittodrie? After a 14-week rollover, the Footy 15 jackpot now stands at a staggering £250,000 this weekend, yes a quarter of a million pounds! Simply use your football knowledge to predict home win, away win or draw for the fifteen fixtures and you could be in the money!

It really is as simple as that and can be played for just £1!

There’s a number of mouth-watering fixtures amongst the selected fifteen FA Cup, League One, SPL and La Liga games with Manchester United’s home tie with injury ravaged Spurs, Dundee United’s home match with St Mirren and Real Madrid’s clash with Deportivo looking sure-fire ‘bankers’. Therefore, the jackpot is looking more and more likely to be won this weekend, so it’s well worth having a go!

Or Will Aberdeen Take Another Old Firm Scalp? After beating Celtic at Pittodrie last week, next up for Aberdeen is the other half of the Old Firm Rangers. However, whereas the Dons had a poor record against Celtic prior to the match, they do have a very good recent record against the Gers. In fact, Rangers have not beaten Aberdeen at Pittodrie in their last 4 attempts (2 defeats and 2 draws). Jimmy Calderwood’s side have now won their last 6 SPL home games whilst Rangers have won just 1 of their last 4 on the road.

The www.footballpools.com Pundits’ Alan Hansen and John Barnes have both backed Rangers to succeed where Celtic failed with a win whilst Tony Cascarino has backed Aberdeen to do the Old Firm double with win number 7 in a row at Pittodrie. For £250,000 who do you agree with?

Gunners to Shoot Down Bluebirds?Last season’s beaten FA Cup finalists Cardiff host Arsenal in one of the ties of the 4th round. The Gunners may have had an indifferent season but have recently embarked on a 7-match unbeaten run in all competitions which includes 4 successive wins. They also possess an incredible cup record under Arsene Wenger against lower league opposition The Frenchman has lost just one of his 37 clashes with lower-league opposition in either domestic cup since arriving in North London. However, that came this season at Turf Moor when Arsenal’s youngsters crashed to Carling Cup defeat to Burnley.

Can Cardiff Shock in the FA Cup Again? The Bluebirds come into this match in hot form themselves after a 10-match unbeaten run in all competitions including 4 wins in the last 6 games. They’ve also not been beaten at Ninian Park since back in November so confidence will be high. The www.footballpools.com Pundits’ Alan Hansen and John Barnes have both backed the Wenger boys to win this tie though Tony Cascarino has backed a draw. Who do you agree with? There’s £250,000 riding on it!

Can Cahill Shock Anfield Once Again?Liverpool host Everton in another Merseyside derby just days after their Premier League draw at Anfield. This promises to be another tight encounter between these old rivals with another draw likely though history points to a home win for the Reds. The Toffees have never beaten Liverpool in an FA Cup tie at Anfield and haven’t beaten them at the famous old ground in any competition since 1999.

Liverpool may view this trophy as less important than both the Champions League and Premier League so there may be some changes whilst this remains the only trophy the Blues can win so expect them to travel to Anfield with ambition and confidence.

It would take a brave man to risk £250,000 on an Everton success, but the choice is yours. The www.footballpools.com Pundits’ Alan Hansen and John Barnes have both unsurprisingly backed a home win this week on Footy 15 but then again, they did the same for Monday’s clash!

Berbatov to Punish a Weakened Spurs Outfit?Manchester United host Tottenham with an impressive home record against this weekend’s opposition of not losing to them since 1989. That’s 20 years since Gary Lineker scored the winner for Spurs at Old Trafford. In fact, the Red Devils have not lost to the North Londoners in the last 16 meetings home and away. If that’s not enough to convince you that United are the team to back then Harry Redknapp’s declaration that he will put out his weakest side possible should be.

United have not failed to reach the 5th round of the FA Cup in the last 6 seasons and with Spurs missing their top central defensive trio of Woodgate, Dawson and King, expect Sir Alex’s side to progress comfortably.

It would take a brave man to risk £250,000 on a Tottenham success, but the choice is yours. The www.footballpools.com Pundits’ Alan Hansen and John Barnes have both backed a home win this week on Footy 15 and it looks by far the best option.

  1. Steve Teriander Says:

Got to have United down as a home banker and can’t see any of the PL sides going out to lower division sides. I fancy my chances this weekend, so not point anyone else playing
