Van der Vaart to Decide Future in Summer: Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Man City, Villa & Everton Alerted

Rafael Van der Vaart has responded to reports in the Spanish, Dutch and German press suggesting he was growing increasingly unhappy at the Bernabeu after being restricted to a bit-part role at the club following the arrival of Juande Ramos. The outspoken Dutchman has spoken out on his official website fobazo.com regarding rumours he wants to move to Chelsea, “I hear there are rumours about me wanting to go to Chelsea. But I have never said that.”

Vagner Love: Manchester United Join Spurs, Everton, Man City & Villa Chasing Brazilian Hitman?

Manchester United are Latest Premier League club to be reported to be interested in CSKA Moscow striker Vagner Love this summer. The Brazilian already has plenty of admirers including Everton, Tottenham, Chelsea and Aston Villa but United’s interest would be surprising considering the array of strikers they already have at the club.

Samuel Eto’o: Liverpool Lead £18M Chase for Former Spurs & Chelsea Target

Liverpool are reported to be lining up an £18m swoop for Barcelona’s Samuel Eto’o this summer though a number of top clubs will surely be interested if the Cameroonian were to be made available. Despite an incredible season in La Liga rumours persist the striker will leave after a number of disputes with the club and the fact Eto’o will have just a year left on his contract this summer. The prospect of a forward line consisting of Fernando Torres and Eto’o would surely have every Liverpool fan salivating and could be the big name arrival to end Manchester United’s domestic domination.

Holland v Scotland - World Cup Qualifying Preview

George Burley’s tenure as Scotland boss faces its biggest test this weekend as the Tartan Army embark on a trip to Amsterdam to face Bert Van Marwijk’s Holland. De Oranje have started qualifying in fine form, winning their opening three games against Macedonia, Iceland and Norway, and have conceding just a single goal in the process.

Wales v Finland - World Cup Qualifying Preview

Stuart Baxter’s Finland look set to be Wales’s principal rivals in making a realistic challenge to Russia and Germany for qualification from Group 4. Having come within one win of qualifying for Euro 2008 under Roy Hodgson, the Finns have started qualifying in mixed fashion this time round. Having led three times in their opening group tie with Germany, they eventually had to make do with a 3-3 draw. They then claimed a narrow 1-0 success over Azerbaijan thanks to Mikael Forssell’s penalty, before going down 3-0 in Moscow against Guus Hiddink’s Russia.

Republic of Ireland v Bulgaria - World Cup Qualifying Preview

Stanimir Stoilov’s first competitive match as Bulgaria coach looks set to be a tricky one as the new coach’s first squad is missing both Dimitar Berbatov and Martin Petrov through injury. Instead, the coach must look to Manchester’s other Bulgarian, Valeri Bojinov, for goals at Croke Park after the 23 year-old returned from a string of serious injuries to regain his place in the squad. Former Charlton midfielder Radostin Kishishev also returns to the fold following a two year hiatus from the national setup. The 34 year-old Kishishev now plays at Litex Lovech - the club at which Stoilov coaches when not engaged by national team duties.

Northern Ireland v Poland - World Cup Qualifying Preview

Injuries look set to play a significant role in Northern Ireland’s preparations for their game against Poland at Windsor Park after strikers Martin Paterson and Kyle Lafferty both had to withdraw from the squad with hamstring and ankle problems respectively. To make matters worse for boss Nigel Worthington, Steve Davis and George McCartney will also miss the tie after soft bookings during the routine 3-0 win in San Marino earned them one match suspensions.
