Arsenal and Man City are both tracking the Serbian 6 ft 4 centre-half Neven Subotic despite the player recently signing a new long-term contract with his club Borussia Dortmund. Since Kolo Toure departure to Man City from the Emirates, Arsene Wenger is eyeing a strong replacement. However, the Gunners face competition from City who are also targeting the talented Bundesliga star.

Sir Bobby Robson 1933-2009: A Tribute to the Glorious Career of the Fulham, Ipswich & Newcastle Legend

Sir Bobby Robson has died at the age of 76 years old, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. The former Newcastle United, Ipswich Town and England boss was one of the most popular characters in modern football, and will be fondly remembered for both his character and his achievements as a manager across Europe.

The Argentine Defensive-Minded Dynamic Duo that Would take Arsenal Back to the Top!

Arsenal’s title chances look to have been weakened by the sale of two of their star players in Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure. Despite arguably their main striker leaving, the Gunners still have a number of attacking options available including Robin Van Persie, Nicklas Bendtner, Carlos Vela, Jay Simpson, Andrei Arshavin and Theo Walcott. However, the club are still in need of a defensive midfielder and another top class centre-back as the likes of Johan Djourou, Philippe Senderos, Mikael Silvestre and Alex Song have not proven themselves good enough at the top level. Two cut-price Argentines could be the answer to Arsene Wenger’s needs and available for a reasonable fees compared to some of the stars moving this summer.

Veloso & Huntelaar in, Keane & Bent Out as Harry’s Tottenham Rebuilding Continues

Miguel Veloso is reportedly one of two big money signings being targeted by Harry Redknapp in the next few weeks alongside Dutch predator Klaas Jan Huntelaar. A number of Premier League clubs have been chasing the £13m man including Spurs’ North London rivals Arsenal, Man City, Aston Villa and Bolton. However, if Redknapp can offload Darren Bent to Sunderland and Robbie Keane to Aston Villa then he will make his move for his two main targets.

Alexander Hleb: Stuttgart Grab Loan Signing -Should Liverpool, Aston Villa, Spurs, Arsenal or Everton Got Him?

Alexander Hleb has moved to his former club Stuttgart on a season long loan deal which is surprising considering the interest from both Inter Milan and the Premier League. Aston Villa and Liverpool were reported to be of interest but surely a player of Hleb’s proven quality would have been of interest to any number of Premier League clubs including Tottenham, Everton and former club Arsenal. After all, a loan move would hardly have been a gamble for a top quality creative player.

Moussa Sissoko: Tottenham Leading Hunt for ‘New Mahmadou Diarra’ Ahead of Liverpool & Everton

Tottenham have reportedly stolen a march on both Liverpool and Everton in the chase for young Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko. The news of Premier League interest is hardly surprising as 19-year-old Sissoko was a revelation last season for the French club that finished 4th in Lique One.

Lorik Cana: Sunderland to Clinch Signing of Everton, Spurs & Arsenal Target

Everton were reported to be favourites to win the race for the signature of one of the stars of French football…the Albanian midfielder Lorik Cana. However, Sunderland have now emerged as front-runners due to their strong financial backing followed by North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal who have also expressed their interest in the Marseille captain.

Arjen Robben: Dazzling Dutchman Chased by Spurs But Perfect for Liverpool or Manchester United

Arguably the biggest star of Real Madrid’s 2008/09 season was the Dutch winger Arjen Robben although it appears the Spanish giants are ready to let him go following the arrival of their new batch of expensive superstars. Tottenham are the only Premier League club to have expressed an interest which is surprising seeing what the winger can bring to the table.

Nikola Kalinic: Portsmouth to Sign ‘The Future of Croatian Football’
