Cascarino’s Champions League Preview: Apoel v Chelsea

I was as shocked as everyone else with Chelsea’s defeat at Wigan at the weekend. However, as a result I’d expect Carlo Ancelotti’s side to put in a strong professional performance in Cyprus against APOEL. The current Chelsea squad is made up of a lot of character and I’d expect then bounce back to a comfortable win on tonight but leaving plenty in the tank for the game with Liverpool at the weekend.

Cascarino: Sevilla Too Hot for Goal Shy Rangers

Rangers have been a bit indifferent this season and they face a really tough challenge in the shape of Spanish outfit Sevilla tonight. I’m afraid I don’t see Walter Smith’s side getting out of the group stage despite a very creditable draw over in Stuttgart.

Cascarino: ‘No Problem’ for Wenger’s Goal Hungry Gunners Against Greeks

Arsenal face the Greek champions Olympiakos this Tuesday at the Emirates and I’d expect the Gunners to beat them hands down. The Greeks should cause no problems for Arsene Wenger’s team who have regained their confidence following two unlucky defeats in Manchester.

Manchester United Favourites for Teenage ‘New Zidane’ Ahead of Liverpool & Chelsea

Manchester United are reported to be tracking arguably the brightest young talent in French football, the 19-year-old midfielder Sofiane Feghouli in view to a January move. However, the English champions are not alone in their interest in the French wonderkid dubbed the ‘New Zidane’ so they will have to beat off competition from a number of Europe’s biggest clubs.
