Mesut Ozil: Werder Look to Sell Dazzling German Contract Rebel

One of the stars of this summer’s World Cup finals was the young German playmaker Mesut Ozil who played a key role in his nation’s march to 3rd place. The 21-year-old Werder Bremen youngster played a large part in Germany’s success in the tournament including scoring in the 1-0 win over Ghana in the group stage. Reports in the German and English press suggest Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all interested in signing the player and that is hardly surprising.

Ever Banega: Roy Hodgson to Bring £8.5M Rafa Target to Liverpool

According to reports in both the Spanish and Argentine press Liverpool’s interest in signing Valencia’s talented young midfielder Ever Banega has not ended despite Rafa Benitez leaving. Roy Hodgson is keen on adding his predecessor’s target to the Anfield ranks. The young Argentinean had been a long-term target of Benitez but also David Moyes who attempted to sign the 22-year-old on loan last summer. However, it would seem that Liverpool rather than Everton are still in the race for his signature with an £8.5m fee being touted.

Arda Turan: Liverpool Re-enter Chase with Spurs for Dazzling £10M Turk

According to reports in the Turkish press and quotes from the player’s agent, Tottenham have opened talks to sign Galatasaray’s star man Arda Turan. The talented winger has been a long-term target for both Arsenal and Spurs in recent seasons but with Arsene Wenger’s interest waning, it would seem Harry Redknapp is at the head of the queue. However, Spurs are not the only top Premier League club thought to be tracking the star as Roy Hodgson has identified the Flying winger as a priority signing for Liverpool and the player himself has often spoke of his desire to move to Anfield.

Ibrahim Afellay: Arsenal Launch £7.5M Bid for Dazzling Dutchman

Press reports suggest a number of Serie A’s biggest clubs are vying for the signature of PSV’s attacking midfielder Ibrahim Afellay alongside Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal. The Dutchman’s agent Rob Jansen has suggested that the player’s future is uncertain which will only increase speculation that the player will be on his way to the Emirates for a cut-price fee as he only has a year left on his current contract.

Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan enjoyed an excellent World Cup after playing a big role in his nation’s march into the quarter-finals. Unfortunately for him, he will forever be remembered for his missed penalty against Uruguay. However, that has not stopped a number of top European clubs showing an interest with Roy Hodgson reportedly prepared to bring him to Liverpool. However, a move to Anfield is under threat following a £10m bid from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

Lukaku: Chelsea Move for Teen ‘New Drogba’ Ahead of Arsenal & United

The Premier League’s big guns have all been monitoring the form of one of Europe’s brightest young starlets Romelu Lukaku. The 17-year-old striker broke into Belgian giants Anderlecht’s first team last season despite his tender years and finished not only top scorer for the club but also the league. Such impressive displays have led to Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea tracking the youngster but it is the league champions that have made the first move with Didier Drogba contacting the player directly. The Gunners and Red Devils are also expected to make their move this summer.

Pogrebnyak: West Ham, Stoke & Blackburn Chase Cut-Price Russian Hitman

Russian hitman Pavel Pogrebnyak moved to Bundesliga giants Stuttgart last summer for a cut-price fee despite Premier League interest. The highly-rated 26-year-old international signed for a mere £4m but after a disappointing first campaign in the Bundesliga, the club are ready to sell with Stoke, Blackburn and West Ham all showing an interest.

Luis Fabiano: Harry Confirms Tottenham Interest in ‘Brilliant’ Brazilian

Sevilla’s exciting Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano looked set to join Italian giants AC Milan last summer but talks broke down over the fee involved. Chelsea and Manchester United have also been strongly linked with moves in the past but it seems as though Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is set to make his bid this summer. Harry is eyeing a ‘special’ player to take his young Spurs side to the next level as they step up to join Europe’s elite in the Champions League but has found himself priced out of a move for Edin Dzeko by Manchester City.
