Blackburn have completed the signing of Carlos Villanueva on a season-long loan deal from Chilean outfit Audax Italiano. The 22-year old attacking midfielder replaces David Bentley who moved to Tottenham this week and has already captured the imagination of new manager Paul Ince.

Newcastle, Blackburn and Manchester City are launching bids to sign one of the most highly-rated playmakers in South America, the Chilean Carlos Andres Villanueva Roland. The 22-year-old has returned to his club side Audax Italiano after a move to Real Sociedad fell through due to lack of funds.
