Tottenham midfield duo Jermaine Jenas and Tom Huddlestone have both been surprisingly called up to the England squad by Fabio Capello despite neither being in great form in recent weeks. In fact, both put in pretty poor performances in the North London derby at the Emirates a fortnight ago so their inclusion is a bit of a shock to me.

Whatever you think of David Beckham as a player, the fact that he has gained 109 caps is a fantastic achievement. Especially when you consider he has come back from the dead in international terms. David has kept himself fit and focused and not moaned to the press when he has been left out. In fact, he has been the model professional.
