Stoke to Hijack Spurs Move for Bargain Brazilian Hitman?

Stoke have joined Tottenham in the race to sign Lyon’s Brazilian hitman Frederico Chaves Guedes according to reports. The Brazilian is reportedly available for a knock-down fee of £4.5m and would add a bit of guile to the Potters battering ram forward line. The Brazilian may well consider the move after commenting on the offer from Tony Pulis’ side.

It was widely reported that Tottenham were set to sign Lyon’s Brazilian hitman Frederico Chaves Guedes last summer for a fee of around £10million. However, despite constant speculation the move never materialised but with his contract set to end at the end of the season it would seem the Brazilian may be about to join Harry Redknapp’s new-look Spurs side for a knock-down £3m fee.

All Tottenham Fans Need to Know About £10Million Brazilian Striker Target

It has been widely reported that Tottenham are set to sign Lyon’s Brazilian hitman Frederico Chaves Guedes this summer for a fee of around £10million. The 24-year-old widely known as ‘Fred’ was heavily linked to the club in January but the deal failed to materialise, however it looks like the move will be resurrected and the player will be on his way to the Lane after all.

Gareth Southgate looks set to do a fair bit of business in the January transfer window with a striker high on the list of priorities but its the distant sound of the samba drums that will be exciting the Boro fans. The Riverside has been a haven for a number of Brazilian imports over the years including Juninho (3 spells at the club), Emerson, Branco and Fabio Rochemback. This January there could be a couple more to add to the list in the shape of strikers Afonso Alves and Fred.
