Teenage Cancer Trust is a Winner with The New Football Pools

As England’s players prepare for the World Cup, two of the country’s top football writers have teamed up with The New Football Pools to donate £1,000 to The Teenage Cancer Trust.Daily Star national football writer, Danny Fullbrook, and The Football Writers’ Association Chairman, Steve Bates from The People, are joint winners of the April/May Football Writers’ Premier 10 Mini League. Both winning writers have now left for South Africa, and will be reporting back from the tournament.

Daily Mirror Football Writer Tops Predictions Mini League for March

Regenerate has received a £1,000 donation thanks to The New Football Pools and The Football Writers’ Association. Daily Mirror national football writer, Martin Lipton, has come in at the top of the March Football Writers’ Premier 10 Mini League. Following his score of the highest number of correct predictions for the month, Martin has elected to donate his cheque to Regenerate.

ARSENAL v MAN CITY: Top Football Writers Give Their Predictions

Arsenal v Manchester City is set to be a cracking match with the highlight of Emmanuel Adebayor, Kolo Toure and Patrick Vieira’s return to their old club. This match is of massive importance to Roberto Mancini’s team while the Gunners have little to play for other than to maintain their position in the table. However, the return of Adebayor in particular should mean a highly charged atmosphere with the players and fans alike aiming to put the Togolese star in his place.

MAN UNITED v TOTTENHAM: Top Football Writers Make Their Predictions

Manchester United v Tottenham promises to be the third of a trilogy of Spurs matches against the top three in the country. After beating Arsenal and Chelsea, Harry Redknapp’s side will be looking to complete a famous hat-trick with a win over the current champions. However, the North Londoners record at Old Trafford and away against the ‘big four’ leaves a lot to be desired. Sir Alex Ferguson’s team can go back to the top of the Premier League with a win and with the title back in their sights, it would take a brave man to bet against them this weekend.
