Sir Bobby Robson has died at the age of 76 years old, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. The former Newcastle United, Ipswich Town and England boss was one of the most popular characters in modern football, and will be fondly remembered for both his character and his achievements as a manager across Europe.

I was surprised to hear that Roy Keane had taken over at Ipswich so soon after walking out on Sunderland. For me, this is a high risk appointment as Roy has shown he has problems dealing with players and people in general.

This match should guarantee goals as both sides are free scoring but hardly watertight at the back. Wolves are the current top scorers in the division with 6 goals in two matches but also scored 3 goals in their Carling Cup match so averaging 3 goals a game. However, they’ve also conceded 5 goals in those matches.

Once again the destination of the Championship title looks extremely difficult to predict with a number of clubs in with a good shout. There’s the likes of Bristol City, Crystal Palace and Watford who all reached the play-offs last season though the impact of getting so close to promotion could have a negative affect on the players.

The side with the best home record in the Championship takes on the side with the joint highest number of away wins in the Premier League at Portman Road this weekend. Jim Magilton’s Ipswich side have yet to lose in 13 home games this season. They’ve won 11 home League matches, that’s more than any other side in the top 4 divisions of English football.
