Liverpool, West Ham and Arsenal have been alerted to news in Italy suggesting Italian starlet Sebastian Giovinco is frustrated with his role at Juventus. The diminutive star was the shining light of the Azzuri’s U21 side’s failed bid to win the European championships in Sweden last summer. Despite his impressive displays the 22-year-old is widely regarded as the best young prospect in Italy although he is struggling to earn a starting place in the Juventus side. His agent Andrea D’Amico told Sportitalia, “There are many factors to be considered and resolved in this matter.”

In the aftermath of another disappointing performance from Tottenham away at Anfield, Harry Redknapp has reportedly stepped up his chase for a strong midfield partner for Wilson Palacios. After being frustrated in his attempts to sign the likes of Sandro, Moussa Sissoko and Sulley Muntari, Redknapp has switched his attention to the Real Madrid powerhouse Mahamadou Diarra.

Liverpool are reported to be about to seal a late deadline day move for one of the most consistent scorers in Europe over the past 12 seasons. David Trezeguet is set to end his 9-year stay at Juventus with a move to Anfield. The 31-year-old has been touted with a move away from the club all summer with his agent suggesting Old Trafford was the perfect destination. However, it would seem that a move to Liverpool in now very much on the cards if a deal can be agreed in time.

Tottenham have been strongly linked with Toulouse’s young midfield duo Etienne Capoue and Moussa Sissoko in the French and English press as Spurs scouts continue to monitor their progress. This is hardly surprising as 19-year-old Sissoko and 21-year-old Capoue were revelations last season for the French club that finished 4th in Lique One.

A number of top Premier League clubs are targeting defensive midfield enforcers this summer and an extremely cheap alternative is readily available, that player would be the Danish hardman Christian Poulsen up for grabs for just £4m. The player’s agent Jorn Bonnesen has revealed he expects the player move on from Juventus when he told Ekstra Bladet, “Now there are even more players on their way in (Melo), it is possible that Christian could be one of the players Juventus wish to sell.
