Harry Redknapp received a lot of criticism for fielding a weakened side in the Uefa Cup first leg tie with Shakhtar Donetsk but for me, he had no choice. The Uefa Cup means nothing to Harry Redknapp in relation to survival in the Premier League which is quite ironic seeing that Spurs could be back in the competition if they beat Manchester United in the Carling Cup final this Sunday.

Who is the Best Deadline Day Signing: Arshavin to Arsenal, Keane to Spurs or Quaresma to Chelsea?

Three clubs from the capital brought in big name last minute signings as the January transfer window closed with Robbie Keane’s return to Spurs arguably the most surprising of the lot. However, Arsenal finally spent big on former Tottenham target and Russian talisman Andrei Arshavin whilst Chelsea brought in Portuguese flying winger Ricardo Quaresma from Inter Milan on loan.

Cascarino on Arsenal Arshavin Signing, Keane Returning to Spurs, West Ham Strength, Fulham New Boys & Chelsea Winger

The last day of the transfer window witnessed a few interesting signings though I am still shocked by Robbie Keane’s return to Tottenham. I just don’t understand why Harry has signed the lad, not because he’s not a good player but because Spurs are likely to have exactly the same problems as they had when both Keane and Jermain Defoe were at the club previously.

Ramos’ List of Sensational World Class Striking Targets to Replace Keane & Berbatov at Tottenham!

The likelihood of Spurs trio of strikers being sold this summer seems to mount every day with Manchester United/Barca after Dimitar Berbatov, Liverpool after Robbie Keane and Sunderland/Everton after Darren Bent. Whether these transfers will actually happen is debatable but if they did which of these reported potential striking targets would you like to sign to replace them?
