Dimitar Berbatov: Would a Move to Manchester United or Manchester City be the Best Move for the Bulgarian?
Monday, September 1st, 2008
Reports today suggest Manchester City are set to rival Manchester United with a bid for Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov. The Bulgarian has been a long-term target for Sir Alex Ferguson but after a public spat between the clubs the door has been opened for the former Bayer Leverkusen man to join his international team-mate and friend Martin Petrov at Eastlands.
The takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group has given Mark Hughes the funds he needs to make a big splash in the transfer market and beating cross city rivals United to their main target would be a huge signal of their intent.
So which move would be the better move for the striker? Would he better off joining a growing side like Man City where he would be one of the star men or a United side where he may not be a definite starter, particularly if he shows a similar attitude to the one he has shown at White Hart Lane this season?
Let’s hear your views.
