Tony Cascarino: Phil Brown was ‘Lucky’ Hull Sacking Took This Long

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Phil Brown has finally been relieved of his managerial position at Hull after over 3 years in charge and my only surprise is that he has lasted as long as he did. Phil was always walking the plank from the moment the new chairman arrived at the club and it seemed only a matter of time until the situation reached a head.

Alan Hansen’s Premier 10 Pick: Burnley v Wolves

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

Burnley and Wolves meet at Turf Moor in yet another ‘6-pointer’ this weekend as both promoted sides struggle to find the consistency to climb out of trouble. Only goal difference separates the teams although the Clarets have played a game more. This promises to be an extremely close match but with time running out for both teams, I have a feeling Brian Laws’ side will grab all 3 points this weekend.

Alan Hansen’s Premier 10 Pick: Wolves v Manchester United

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Manchester United will be aiming for a hat-trick of wins against Wolves when they travel to Molineux this weekend. Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have beaten Wolves 1-0 in the Carling Cup and 3-0 in the Premier League at Old Trafford this season but they face a far tougher clash on Saturday if you consider that United have been struggling somewhat on the road in recent weeks.

Alan Hansen’s Premier 10 Preview: Bolton v Wolves

Friday, February 26th, 2010

If Owen Coyle didn’t realise the size of the job he has taken at Bolton, he certainly does now. Owen arrived at the Reebok as the saviour of the Trotters but results haven’t improved significantly as Bolton remain in the relegation zone and face a real 6-pointer this weekend at home to Wolves.

Blues Fan Wins £30,000 as Chelsea Beat Arsenal & Hull Shock Man City

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

The Chelsea v Arsenal match was an intriguing contest between two of the best teams in the country who play with both differing styles and attitudes. While Arsene Wenger’s side enjoyed the lion’s share of possession without causing too many problems to the Chelsea defence, the Blues were more than happy to surrender ground, soak up any pressure and hit the Gunners on the break. The top of the table clash was of massive importance to Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United fans but for one Birmingham City fan, this match had a £30,000 Premier 10 jackpot win riding on it.
