FERGIE HAVE A CRY, FERGIE, FERGIE HAVE A CRY - It wasn't for the first time that Sir Alex Ferguson looked for outside interference as his Manchester United side lost at home to Aston Villa 1-0 to drop more crucial points it what is again turning into a thrilling title race. Gabriel Agbonlahor scored the only goal of the game in an assured Villa performance but instead of accepting the Champions were beaten by the better side or rueing missed chances he decided to take it out on the referee for not adding enough minutes on. Oh the irony of the situation is quite brilliant, people say situations even themselves out over a season and United's last-gasp goal against Manchester City might have been compensated - although not for Mark Hughes - by this. That said it's ambitious to think that if the assistant had held up four minutes instead of three that that would mean that Fergie's side would have scored...apparently the decision for the amount of added time should be taken out of the referees hand (and presumably given to the United gaffer to decide)...

Whilst walking off the pitch an angry fan shouted "you're s***" at the Cameroon international only for the left-back to turn on the fan and he needed to be pulled away by Joe Jordan. It is likely that if he is found guilty of misconduct he will be fined two weeks wages. But, it was hardly an Eric Cantona kung-fu and, on the other hand, the fan did have a point as Ekotto did do a good impression of a s*** player that afternoon...

<"Arshavin was the danger man" - Thanks for clearing that up for us Arsene, we would never have guessed...
Ryan Giggs last night won BBC Sports Personality of the Year and - as he said - it was a shock for him to beat Formula One World Champion Jenson Button and new WBA heavyweight champion David Haye but what a legend he is in football. From the sounds of it he's a nice guy as well...
