Burke backs Rangers to scrap for title
1st December 2008
Chris Burke has predicted the Clydesdale Bank Premier League title race will go right to the wire once again this season - despite Rangers trailing Celtic by a massive seven points.
The Ibrox winger admits there is no more room for error after the Light Blues squandered more points against Hearts at the weekend.
Rangers have now dropped 10 points on their travels so far this season, allowing the defending Scottish champions to open up a gap at the top of the SPL.
"We have been disappointing away from home and we have lost far too many points," admitted Burke. "If we want to win this title back then we are going to have to rectify that big time.
"I don't think it is insurmountable. It will go right down to the wire and both teams will be fighting it out to the end. None of the teams will give up and the main thing is to win the title.
"At Rangers and Celtic there is pressure to win every week or people are on your back. We have to win every game and hope Celtic slip up. If they don't, we have to make sure that we win all our games."
