Errors are proving costly - Hughes
23rd November 2008
Falkirk manager John Hughes insists his side have to cut out the individual mistakes that are proving costly as they lost 2-1 to Hearts.
Andy Driver used his pace to great effect to score the winner after latching onto Arnau Riera's misplaced pass, speeding away from the Falkirk defence before coolly rounding goalkeeper Scott Flinders.
Hughes said: "We gave ourselves too much to do, especially after the second goal. It's just disappointing the way we lost it, I felt it was self-inflicted.
"I am a little bit disappointed that we didn`t hold onto our goal for longer.
"I thought it was a free-kick to Darren Barr to be honest for Hearts' equaliser, I thought Christian Nade was backing in but it was a great goal.
"I can't ask any more of them in terms of work ethic. I thought we could have got something out the game, I thought Michael Higdon could have got something with that header and he had one cleared off the line."
