Latapy: I`m not done yet

28th November 2008

Falkirk midfielder Russell Latapy has no plans to retire yet, as the Bairns prepare to hold a tribute day celebrating a decade in Scotland for the Trinidad and Tobago international on Saturday.

Latapy recently came out of international retirement to help his country reach the final stage of their World Cup qualifiers and has refused to set a date for finally hanging up his boots.

The former Hibernian, Rangers and Dundee United midfielder has extended his career longer than he imagined but is thrilled to still be playing in his 41st year.

Preparing for the meeting with Hibs, he said: "I never really thought I would be playing international football and playing in the Premier League at 40.

"But I am enjoying it as much. I think you appreciate it a lot more the older you get - because you can probably see the light at the end of the tunnel."
