Roeder wants Valley victory

1st December 2008

Norwich boss Glenn Roeder has insisted that his side will travel to Charlton in the FA Cup third round looking for a win.

The Canaries travel to the Valley in early January to take on the Addicks and Roeder is expecting a tough task.

He said: "I'm happy with the draw except that I would obviously have preferred us to be at home.

"The supporters deserve and would have enjoyed a third round cup game at Carrow Road.

"But it wasn't to be and we'll go to the Valley and look to win. We won't be going there trying to get a replay.

"Charlton are a club going through transition like ourselves and I would expect them to have their managerial situation sorted by the time we play them."
