Roeder confident in Canaries

4th December 2008

Norwich boss Glenn Roeder insists his side have the strength of character to come out of this weekend's eagerly-anticipated East Anglian derby against Ipswich with a victory.

Roeder's first game in charge of the Canaries was the corresponding fixture last season, when his new side came from two goals down to draw 2-2, and he anticipates a similar atmosphere at Carrow Road this time around.

"Since I've been here I've experienced some excellent atmospheres inside Carrow Road but that particular game was electric," he said.

"If you are a good player this sort of game brings out the best in you, and it's only players that don't enjoy pressure who it would bring out the worst in.

"We have enough players in our squad to who are strong enough to take this game on."
