Calderwood aims to silence boo-boys
30th November 2008
Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood is confident he can win back the support of Forest fans following their 1-0 victory over Barnsley.
There were calls of 'Calderwood out' from fans that travelled to Doncaster for the drab goalless draw at the Keepmoat Stadium in midweek, but it was a different story after the final whistle against the Tykes.
Rumours were rife that the Scot would lose his job if Forest lost, but Calderwood insisted he expected the speculation about his future.
He added: "The way the fans were celebrating at the end really pleased me and I think that will bring them back.
"You have to smile when you win, and I have only smiled three times this season. But what has been said this week hasn't really affected me. It was obvious it was going to happen so it didn't surprise me."
He added: "I think if you conduct yourself with humility and dignity, you get a reward in the end. We got ourselves into this pickle and we can get ourselves out of it."
