Alberti set for run out

1st December 2008

QPR striker Matteo Alberti will step up his comeback from injury for the reserves against Aldershot on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old Italian, a summer signing from Chievo, has been sidelined for 10 weeks with a knee injury.

Alberti came through an hour of last week's second-string draw with Southampton unscathed and will push for a return to the first-team squad which hosts Championship leaders Wolves on Saturday.

He has managed just three substitute appearances for Rangers this season, the last coming in the 3-0 defeat at Sheffield United back in August.
