Davis not daunted by United

1st December 2008

Southampton goalkeeper Kelvin Davis insists he is unfazed at the prospect of facing the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney in the FA Cup third round.

Saints were handed a plum tie with Manchester United, who they famously beat at Wembley in 1976 to lift the cup, at St Mary's following Sunday's draw.

"This is the tie we all wanted," said Davis.

"It's great for the fans and I'm pleased for everyone connected with the club and those who work behind the scenes.

"Any Premier League side will be tough opposition. It will be a good occasion and one that we are all looking forward to."
