Mostto's moment

16th November 2008

Simon Davey was full of praise for Peruvian striker Miguel Mostto who scored his first goal of the season in Barnsley's 2-1 win over Watford.

Mostto, who arrived at Oakwell in the summer of 2007, has found a starting place hard to come by following his move from Cienciano.

But the Peru international struck a 69th-minute equaliser for the Tykes after coming off the substitutes' bench against Watford.

Davey said: "It's been a long road for Miguel because he's taken time to adjust here.

"But he's stuck to his task, worked hard in training and taken his goal well."
