Magilton gets extra know Howe

3rd December 2008

Ipswich manager Jim Magilton has enlisted the help of former England assistant boss Don Howe ahead of his side`s derby clash with Norwich.

Magilton met Howe whilst working on his coaching badges and has revealed the former Arsenal and QPR boss will oversee some of Town's training sessions in the build up to the East-Anglia derby.

Town currently lie 11th in the Championship and are unbeaten in their last five meetings against Norwich, with Magilton confident Howe`s input can provide an advantage for the game at Carrow Road on Sunday.

"Don's knowledge of the game is so extensive," Magilton told the Evening Star.

"I have invited him down to spend a couple of days with the players and the staff.

"He has looked at videos of our games and will take a couple of sessions. It will be a great learning exercise for everyone."
