Eagles set for fitness boost

1st December 2008

Alan Lee and James Scowcroft could give Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock a major fitness boost ahead of Saturday's trip to Derby.

The strikers, who have been sidelined since mid-September with hamstring injuries, have been pencilled in for a reserve run-out against Reading this week.

Full-back Danny Butterfield, another hamstring injury-victim, is also in the frame to face the Royals meaning Warnock could have a virtually full-strength squad at the weekend.

"We have got a week to get rid of the aching bones and look forward to next weekend's game against Derby," said Warnock.

"We will have a few playing in the reserves this week so it will be nice to have a full squad to choose from."
