Moyes: Everton need star quality

29th November 2008

Everton manager David Moyes admits some of his top stars need to start producing their best form.

Moyes is especially looking for an improvement from midfielders Mikel Arteta and Tim Cahill.

"Mikel would accept that he is searching for his best form. These things happen, he has been very good for us in the time he has been here and I am sure his form will return," Moyes said.

"He is working really hard, he had an injury in the summer, and sometimes it takes time to get back to your best."

Cahill has struggled to adapt after the arrival of Marouane Fellaini, but Moyes said: "We need his goals, but at least he is getting in the right positions.

"He was doing that at Wigan on Monday, which was a disappointing performance from everyone, and he just didn't manage to finish."
