Calderwood rallies his troops

28th November 2008

Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood has challenged his players to pull themselves back into the race for third place.

The Dons have five league games remaining this year, and Calderwood sees no reason why they cannot win them all - starting against Motherwell on Saturday.

He said: "Hearts and Dundee United have both gone on winning runs already this season.

"We haven't done that yet but we are more than capable of doing so.

"It would be fabulous if we could put ourselves in a position to be challenging for that third position come the new year. That has to be our aim."
