Dons wait on stadium report
2nd December 2008
Aberdeen chairman Stewart Milne is hoping plans for a new stadium will become clearer early in the New Year.
Two sites have been identified and the Pittodrie club should have a better idea of which one will be pursued when a feasibility report is submitted to the council in February.
Milne addressed shareholders on the issue at last night's AGM and revealed that work had been taking place behind the scenes for several months.
"There's a lot of work been going on in the background over the last six to nine months to do an evaluation," he told RedWeb.
"Two sites were identified. That should all come to a conclusion at the end of January and there'll be a report going to the council early to mid-February hopefully with a clear recommendation that one of the sites should be pursued."
On his own position, he added: "There's still a lot of unfinished business to be done. I'd like to see it through. I'm still committed to the football club and it would give me great pride and pleasure to see us one day move into a new stadium."
