Nish stakes his claim
30th November 2008
Hibernian striker Colin Nish is hoping his late equaliser against Falkirk gives manager Mixu Paatelainen a selection headache for next weekend's clash with Celtic.
The 27-year-old sprang off the bench to earn his side a point in the 1-1 draw after being left out of the starting line-up for the third consecutive week.
He said: "It's been very frustrating. I've probably been moaning a wee bit more than I used to because I've not been in the team. But the only way I can get back in the team is by what I do on the park, so I just need to keep working hard and see what happens.
"You aim to score when you go on. You've got to try and make an impression and luckily I got one of those goals you wish you could get every week.
"It's a wee bit frustrating we didn't get back-to-back wins but we've not lost a game in three now. We've got a big game next week and hopefully we can get the three points there.
"The only thing you can do as a player is go on the park and do your best. The manager will make the decisions for next week, so hopefully I've made his decision harder."
