Robson-Kanu rejoins Shrimpers

21st August 2008

Southend have completed the loan signing of Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu.

Robson-Kanu had a three-month loan-spell with the Roots Hall club last season and has rejoined Steve Tilson's men on an initial one-month deal.

The 19-year-old made 16 starts for the Shrimpers and scored three goals before having his loan cut short through injury.

Tilson told the club's official website: "Hal will shake things up a little bit.

"He did well last season when he was fit and the fact he can play on the wing or up front is a bonus. He scored three goals last time he was here so he is a threat.

"We've got him for a month to start with and we will take it from there."
