Ebanks-Blake earns Under-21 call-up

27th August 2008

Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is set to make his international bow after he was named in Stuart Pearce's England Under-21 squad to face Portugal at Wembley.

Ebanks-Blake has been in good form for Wolves so far this season netting two goals in their opening two games.

Despite being 22-years-old the former Plymouth man is eligible to play for Pearce's side because he was born after 1986, and he will be hoping to feature as the Three Lions look to move closer to qualification for the European Championships.

Also included in the squad for the game on September 5th is Wanderers midfielder Michael Kightly.
