Edworthy in Burton deal
5th August 2009
Burton have agreed terms with Marc Edworthy on an initial one-month deal at the Pirelli Stadium.
The 36-year-old full-back has been training with the Brewers and played in their pre-season victory at Altrincham at the weekend.
He is set to put pen to paper later this week and become the Football League newcomers' ninth signing of the summer.
"I have worked with Eddy and he is a great lad to have in the dressing room. He is an experienced pro who will never let you down," Burton boss Paul Peschisolido told the club's official website.
"He will join us initially for a month but hopefully we will be able to make it longer after that."
Edworthy was on a short-term deal with Leicester last season but despite helping the Foxes to win the League One title, the former Crystal Palace, Norwich and Derby full-back was released at the end of the campaign.
