Defensive lapses cost Northern Ireland

19th November 2008

Northern Ireland paid the price for some poor defensive work by going down 2-0 to Hungary at Windsor Park in their friendly.

They were undone in the second half with Sandor Torghelle and Zoltan Gera both finding the target.

Torghelle was first to react when Sszabolcs Huszti swung in a cross in the 57th minute then Gera rifled home a 25-yard drive in the 71st minute with Jonny Evans backing off.
